I was eager to try this restaurant, as it has the best rating in the mall, but I was really disappointed with my experience at Poulet Rouge. Despite asking for the small portion, the person at the counter punched in the regular order without confirming with me, and I ended up with a larger, more expensive meal. When I was asked if I wanted avocado, I didn’t realize it would cost an extra $2, which felt like an unwelcome surprise.
The chicken was a major letdown—it was burned at the edges, making it tough and lacking in flavor. There was no harmony in the dish, and the garlic sauce smelled kind of weird. For almost $18, I expected a much better meal.
To make things worse, after eating, I had severe stomach issues for the rest of the day, including gas and nausea. The food was not only disappointing in quality but also left me feeling unwell, threatening to come back up.
On top of that, they had these white terminals that prompted me to leave a tip, just like so many other places are doing now. It’s becoming a trend in fast food and casual spots, but when the service and food don't reflect that extra cost, it feels like a rip-off. I won’t be returning to Poulet Rouge, and I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a better meal.
