I usually leave good reviews, but my visit to Poutineville was just terrible.
1) somewhat Unsanitary conditions: There were swarms of flies both outside and inside the restaurant, which felt extremely unhygienic and made it impossible to enjoy the meal. It’s in the photos and video below. I discovered this after I ordered and hence would have been tough to leave. Equally important is that I had a stomach ache after eating. 2) Poor value: Even knowing the menu prices in advance, the portion size and quality simply don’t justify the cost. It felt overpriced for what you get. I understand that I saw the menu prices before ordering but the price of the food vs the quality and quantity is not a good value. 3) Friendly staff: The one bright spot was the service and the staff who were polite and attentive despite being clearly understaffed.
I hope management addresses the fly problem and reevaluates their pricing—otherwise it’s hard to recommend.
Response to below comment: My friend I don’t mean to attack you. The reason I posted was the problem with the flies. You can put high speed curtains or fans at entrance to stop them or have Insect Traps & Repellents and do regular sprays on the logo outside. You probably know more than me how to address this issue. What happens outside the restaurant has a direct effect inside the restaurant. On the positive note, service and staff were very friendly and kind.

This is the kingdom of poutine. It's not a complicated concept, you order poutine with the ingredients you want by checking them on the sheet to order. The service is excellent and fast. The only negative point was that my fries could have been cooked more. The place is very clean.

I go back there for the mashed potato, the possibility of reinventing your poutine with each experience. Is this in the best poutine? I don't think so, obvious lack of cheese but its taste is still there! During the last experience, I was also surprised by the quality of service.
Excellent Bistro. Owner was very friendly. Took the time to chat with our table even though it was busy. The atmosphere was excellent and food was amazing. Highly recommend!
