Most horrible fish chips I’ve ever had. Fish was dry and swimming in oil. You can literally see oil dripping out as you cut the fish. Asked not to over fry the next round of fish because the batter is dark brown overcooked but still comes back looking overcooked.

Worst service of my life I swear McDonald’s has better customer service and care than these people do. I don’t recommend and stay away from here. Also to add their was bugs in our pitcher of beer absolutely disgusting!!!

Bar sucks and the bartender is petty. They don’t actually put alcohol in the drinks, just soda. Also, 4 jack Daniels signs in the place and they look at you like you’re stupid for asking for a Jack and coke

Visited Pub St Paul for an after work gathering. It had a rustic vibe. The staffs were friendly. We were served a custom pre ordered menu that included food and drinks. Food was good, the best one being the fried chicken. Tried a virgin pina colada which I thought was a little too sweet for my taste.
Overall we had a nice experience and everyone had a great time.

Went to St. Paul’s Pub with friends and had an awful time thanks to a server named Karl. He completely forgot to put in our order—we waited over 45 minutes for nachos in a half-empty pub (literally 4 other people there). We had to go up to him to even place the order, and he never once came to check in, apologize, or even bring us water. We had to get up to find napkins.

When the bill finally came, he slammed it on the table, and when my friend didn’t want to tip (because…why would we?), he snatched the machine back and said tipping is “mandatory in Quebec” (it’s not). When we stood up for ourselves, he called us disrespectful and told us we weren’t welcome anymore. As we were leaving, he called me a dick.

Drinks were okay. Everything else? Beyond unprofessional. Definitely not coming back.

Had a great experience with the food - it was decently cheap relative to the other restaurants in our area. One thing that I’m really concerned though was the lack of transparency with tips.

Our waiter told us as we paid the bill that tipping was mandatory. I completely understand the importance of tips, I’ve done front of house work in a restaurant myself, but there should be a sign or someone telling you AS YOU walk in that tipping is mandatory. We have that right as customers.

Pay the employees!! Apparently tipping is mandatory but it doesn’t say that anywhere— overall a really unpleasant experience

Been twice now. First time it was garbage with their frozen fish and chips and the second time we sat at the bar to get a cocktail the hipster server gave us the drink menu and we waited 20 mins he never served us so we just left.

A great and inviting place to stop in while exploring Montreal! The bearded day bartender was personable and kind. He offered excellent service, recommendations, and made fantastic drinks :)

Popped in for a drink. First impression was just another 'sports bar' by the atmosphere. Kinda dead even for a Friday night after 11pm. Drinks were so so. Felt like being back in a college bar on a Wednesday night.

Absolutely lovely place! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the seatings options were perfect for a view of the waterside or the street side, EXCELLENT food (highly recommend the James Brown poutine), and hallelujah for the air conditioning (it was 30C with over 80% humidity)!!! Thank you to the excellent team for their quality work!

My sister and I were on a sister’s trip and wanted to try poutine—and we’re so glad we did! It was absolutely delicious. We also had a really kind bartender/server whose name I didn’t catch, but I want to say a heartfelt thank you. I was having a rough day, and his kind gesture truly lifted my spirits. It made Montreal feel like home. Thank you so much—you’re the best!

Don’t let the look of the food deceive you. Still tastes like it’s been sitting on the counter for a week and just got reheated. Pretty bland and I’m very confused why they put marble cheese on my Caesar salad. Do not recommend. Go to the poutine place across the street called Montreal poutine.
