Ramen Isshin Mont-Royal

I recently visited Ramen Isshin in Montreal, and while our server was friendly and attentive, our overall experience was marred by the kitchen staff's handling of our concerns.

Initially, we were greeted by a server who was pleasant and accommodating. However, when the kitchen staff member came out to take our order, his demeanor was abrupt and unwelcoming. Our meal began with edamame that was overly salted, but we chose not to complain at that point.

When the ramen arrived, we quickly realized that it was also excessively salty, making it difficult to enjoy. We hesitated to mention it, but ultimately decided to inform our server, who was understanding and assured us she would communicate our feedback to the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the response from the kitchen staff was less than professional. The same individual returned, displaying a confrontational attitude, stating that we should have indicated our preference beforehand and that he wouldn’t modify the dish in the future. This left us confused, as it was our first visit, and we had no way of knowing the food's saltiness.

When the remade bowls arrived, we were disappointed to find that they were not full and seemed to be a reduced portion, presumably based on the assumption that we had consumed some of the original bowls. Additionally, the quality of the ramen did not improve, remaining mediocre at best.

In summary, while the service from our server was commendable, the kitchen's response to our feedback was unprofessional, detracting significantly from our dining experience. I hope they can address these issues, as the concept has potential.

Very good atmosphere, themed decor, very tasty food: shio and red miso. Moshi for dessert. The staff is very attentive. THANKS. We will come back :)

Having recently returned from Toronto and the restaurants there are plentiful on almost every street corner.
The Ramen noodles there are excellent and I wanted to find an equivalent in Montreal.
Access and parking is obviously not easy with one-way streets everywhere, roadworks and parking spaces are rare.
We went around lunchtime thinking it would be crowded but luckily not.
We were welcomed immediately and directed to a table.
The menu is done via our cell phone by scanning the QR code.
We had help from the waiter to choose our dish.
The bowls arrive quickly on a tray, I am pleasantly surprised!!!!
Everything is good although I would have liked it to be 25% less salty, I think that if we could choose the degree of salt added would be really interesting.

Negative note, the music could be at a lower volume, I don't really like loud music.
We have to speak louder for nothing.

I recommend this nice place for good Ramen noodles ?

best ramen I have eaten in my life

I'm an Uber driver i don't know if the food there good or not but someone who works there did a disrespectful thing to me and it's not just one time and when i told him not to do that again he gave a dislike and reported me so this is my experience there .

Lovely little ramen place with vegan options ! The food was fantastic, garlic edamame were wow (you need to ask without fish sauce) and the potato and corn fritters are vegan too. Ramen were delicious, they use kale pasta for the vegan version and I would have never guessed that it was kale ! My only complaint would be that the waitress wasn’t aware of the menu ; at first when I asked for the vegan options she said nothing is vegan, only vegetarian… so then I asked what about kale noodles with the vegetarian ramen no egg, and she had to ask, when a big advertisement was promoting « vegan vibes » with the ramen bowls.
Other than that I loved the ambience and you can order online directly to place your order.
Ohhh but the little table lamps weren’t working, that made me sad ? but I would def go back, you just always have to be careful !
