My experience ar Ratafia leaves me confused. It is a gastronomic experience sure. The dishes we tried (the vegan options were quite limited although they made an effort to accommodate us) were obviously delicious and prepared with attention but the portions were extremely small and very very pricey. Left hungry with 200$ bill….

Special events at Ratafia are always an incredible experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody. Take your loved ones out for a special dinner and enjoy good food, good service, and an overall astounding ambiance.

Ultimately the food is just too sweet. We tasted 70% of their dishes and they were all just sweet. Their two pasta dishes incorporated sweet root vegetables so they tasted the same. On the bright side, the sweetness paid off on the DESSERTS lol. The red velvet dessert was divine and I would go back just for that.

Just really excellent and unique food. They are popular for the desserts and deservedly so of course, but all the savoury dishes we had were also top-notch. Plus, they change their menu monthly.

We had our company Christmas party at Ratafia. The atmosphere was perfect and the food wonderful. The owners and their team are very welcoming. We had a great time!

The service at the restaurant is excellent, but the food is quite average and overpriced. We ordered the menu degustation for two, but it turned out to be a single serving meant for one person with two forks. Honestly, it feels like a complete scam. Why not inform your customers about this? They attempted to innovate, but in doing so, they lost sight of the essentials in the kitchen.

We only went out for desserts. It was an excellent tasting. The expectations were to have dishes that were too complex to make at home and a mix of unusual ingredients. It was a success.

I've been to this restaurant several times and I don't understand why it doesn't get as much praise. I've been to restaurants in my life and this is honestly one of the best I've been to. As much in savory dishes as in sweet dishes, he has a reflection and a search for flavors in order to amuse our palate and discover unusual and sublime flavors. Honestly one of the best restaurants in Montreal. And... what can we say about the service... we are served like kings/queens. CONGRATULATIONS to the whole team!!!

We had a really nice evening at Ratafia. The atmosphere is super cool and the food is excellent. The dishes are very well thought out and are full of good flavors. Also, the waitress knew these dishes very well and offered us excellent wine pairings. I highly recommend.

Not only is the food absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, but each bite is a discovery of new flavors. The service was the best I’ve experienced in Montreal, with staff attentive to every need. An amazing culinary experience overall!

I'm never disappointed when I go to ratafia. The dishes are always extremely refined and subtle. The chefs introduce us to combinations that are sometimes surprising but which work with the fire of God. It’s always a real delight for the taste buds. The service is impeccable. The servers always have a smile and good recommendations and it's one of the rare places where the mocktails are as good as the cocktails! As for the place in an art deco style and an intimate atmosphere, it is just magical. In all of Montreal, Ratafia is my favorite restaurant and the one that I can recommend to everyone with my eyes closed.

Vegetarian options: The vegetables are admirably well cooked in ratafia. Vegetarian dishes have nothing to envy of omnivorous dishes and are sometimes even better.

Really nice but more of a wine and dessert type of place. Dishes are delicious but miniscule and pricy.

On the occasion of Montreal in Lights. Warm access to all staff attentive to customer satisfaction. Intimate decor. Beautiful presentation of the tartare, unforgettable sauce with Arctic char, as a pre-dessert the Pied de vent mousse and ends in style with the delicious creamy haskap. Only praise for the service of Heloïse as well as Jarred for the wines. An unforgettable evening. Hats off and congratulations to the owner and the entire kitchen team
