Service impeccable, cuisine savoureuse et ambiance chaleureuse: une vraie pépite du secteur!
Too expensive and just ordinary

Honestly I wanted to love this place but the food was nothing special. There are so many incredible izakaya in the city and unfortunately it was not one of them. I went there a while back, so maybe they have changed the menu or the prices. The portions were very small and very expensive for what it was. I will say that their shrimp tempura was delicious. The rest was good but nothing special. I did not like their special sauce which they used in a few dishes. The portions were so small we left still hungry.
The service was also a bit odd. The waitress told us we could not order the glasses of wine from the menu because it was a Saturday. Also after we left, I got a friend request on facebook from the waitress which was really weird because I do not know her.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend and I do not think I would return.

From the first bite, We knew this was the work of a Japanese chef — truly authentic Japanese flavours.
I’d passed by this place many times, assuming it was more of a casual bar, but I was so wrong. The food is excellent, and it’s perfectly comfortable for families too.
Every dish we tried — karaage, tempura, miso-grilled black cod, yakitori, ramen — tasted genuinely Japanese. Even the wine and sake selection was surprisingly refined. But the real standout was the handmade soba noodles — a rare find in Montreal, where most places use dried ones.
If anything, the portions were a little small, but the quality and fair prices more than make up for it. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxed.
It may not look flashy from the outside, but don’t let that fool you — this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Wow, new discovery in my area (south west)!
Great staff! Chef is super friendly and you get to try something quite unique in MTL, dry aged fish! It was amazing experience! Tasting menu wrap’s it all!
I highly recommend this lovely spot!

The food is good but the service, at this price point, lacks attention to detail.
So many great Japanese spots in Montreal but this is NOT one of them.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Regashi was very disappointing. We had called ahead to explain our dietary restrictions and were assured the staff could guide us through the menu. When we arrived, the waitress had no idea what would work for us, dismissed our questions with “this is only a little, you should be fine,” and grew visibly annoyed. It got so bad that we had to leave without eating.
When we tried to explain why we were leaving, both the waitress and the manager were dismissive and uninterested in hearing our feedback. Their attitude was unprofessional and left us feeling unwelcome.
We really wanted to love this place, but with so many excellent Japanese restaurants in Montreal that take guest needs seriously, Regashi is not worth it.

The food, The staff, and the service were incredible. What a wonderful evening!
Huge thanks to Thierry, the owner, for his outstanding hospitality and to Naomi for her warm, attentive service. They’re both incredibly knowledgeable about the food and local products, which made the whole experience even better.
It was truly a pleasure to dine here with my family. An unforgettable experience.

Delicious food, amazing service, and a fun vibe. Great vegetarian options. Best crème brûlée I ever had.
As customers it felt like the service was specifically adapted for us. Can call in advance for special requests.
Definitely going back to discover the rest of the menu.

Honestly, you closed petit Tri for this? What a waste. I’m used to spending good money on meals when I go out but this was absolutely not worth it. I was worried when I only saw staff occupying the restaurant but now it all makes sense. Go back to the drawing board guys, this place didn’t work out.
