Restaurant Abouda is a cozy spot in Montreal serving flavorful Tunisian cuisine. The dishes are fresh, well-spiced, and generously portioned, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. A great choice for anyone craving authentic North African flavors.

Where do I start. It’s not just a restaurant but a cultural experience. We go from Ottawa to Montreal just for Abouda. The food feels like being back home in the streets of Tunisia.

The Kaftaji, the meats, the Grilled Salad, are all like the ones you’d get in your lunch hour in the busy streets of the medina back in Tunisia. I could go on and on about the place.

Even the takeaway that we had from what’s left, end up making sandwiches with it and it’s just sublime.

For the price, atmosphere and quality of the food, like I said, it’s not just a Tunisian restaurant but far more than that, a cultural experience from start to finish. Cheers as always!

Malheureusement, la réputation annoncée ne correspond pas à la réalité. Le client se retrouve sur une liste d’attente et on lui demande ensuite de patienter à l’extérieur cependant ce n’est pas une manière appropriée de procéder. A ne pas recommander

This was my first experience trying Tunisian food, and it was fantastic! The plating was truly eye-catching, full of warm and vibrant colors. The dishes were quite spicy for me, but if you enjoy heat, definitely follow the staff’s recommendations. The service was excellent — the staff were polite, friendly, and very welcoming.

Tried Abouda on a Tunisian colleague’s recommendation. I went with the kaftagi (a popular pick per the staff). Quality was good, though a bit spicier and hotter than I prefer. I didn’t love the dish itself, but it was worth trying for the experience. I did enjoy the potatoes on the side and the fresh bread. Staff were kind, and the space felt warm with Tunisian décor. Overall, a good experience.
