Ordered a mixed plate for takeout — chicken tasted off, potatoes were burnt, and salads were expired and moldy. Terrible hygiene and quality. Avoid this location.

I never write negative reviews but I have to do this for the sake of the public. I went there for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately their food was not edible. I asked for hummus + garlic sauce in a shish taouk pita with chicken and beef + potatoes. When I tasted it, I was shocked to find out that the hummus was literally rancid. I love lebanese food and eat it quite often, and trust me… that did not taste like hummus. Unfortunately it was everywhere in the sandwich and potatoes, so I had to throw everything out after a couple bites. I didn’t think that a shish taouk sandwich could be so bad to the point that it is literally inedible.

Apart from that, the tomatoes were saggy and the meat was dry from being on the shelf for so long. The price was also much higher than I expected. I think I was charged extra for the two meats and the hummus and garlic sauce in the sandwich and in the fries (but I’m not 100% sure so take this comment with a grain of salt). The price certainly wasn’t communicated prior to charging. For almost 18$ I didn’t even get a drink with the meal (would’ve had to pay an extra 2$ for a drink).

The service was not great either. The person behind the counter wasn’t very communicative and when he handed over the terminal he told me that he put more meat in a way as if implying that he was expecting more tip.

To summarize : Avoid coming here. Don’t waste your money.

The potatoes were so dry and hard that we couldn’t even stick a fork in them.

Worst restaurant in the city

MOHD AIDY FAIZAL BIN JOHARI TObeASSIGN

The food was delicious and of excellent quality. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, even offering us drinks and, most importantly, providing a space for us to pray. As Muslim travelers, this thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us. May Allah reward him abundantly and bless his business with continued success.

Experience was underwhelming.
Food prices were okay...more expensive than Toronto.

Ordered the Kofta Kebab plate....came with salad, roasted potatoes, rice, kofta kebab, a spoon of hummus and a spoon of garlic sauce.

Kofta kebab was overcooked and seemed as it was preheated from the lunch time( I came for dinner). It was blackened and dry...not fresh from freshly made and roasted.

Potatoes were dry and overroasted. Ate half of them and the rest I left for the garbage.

Salad was decent but lettuce was dice and sliced and hard to pick up with the wooden fork.
Rice was the only good thing but paying $20 for a plate of rice, overcooked kofta and potatoes is a rip of.

No itemized receipt was provided so I don't know how much the side of hummus and pita and a drink was but total for it all was $30.

Better prices in Toronto along with quality of food.

For tourists....much better places to eat along St. Catherine St.....

Disgusting interior. Absolutely no customer in the restaurant. We found out why soon enough. There are rats running around. The meat tasted old. Tasted funny. Never coming back. Disgusting

Beyond dry meat, salad with no dressing, extremely dry potatoes. Soggy messy pitas. Using containers for takeout that allow them to put smaller portions. Rice was good though. Mistake of drink on order. Do yourself a favor and dont eat here.

The owner and employees are so nice and friendly, however there is clearly a lack of freshness in the food and the place could be unsanitary but that is understandable given the location and the age of the building. Potential di foods were fresher!

Nice man behind the cash register but I was turned off with something unsanitary: why wear gloves to prepare the food if you're just going to touch the cash register, the phone and the counter, and then touch the food (pita bread ) with your hands wearing the same gloves? It's disgusting. I wasn't able to eat my pita. It really disgusted me...
