I went to this Boustan location the other day and was disappointed. The portion size was small and the food was dry compared to other Boustan locations I’ve been to.

I have been a long-time, frequent customer at this Boustan location, and I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a recent and noticeable reduction in portion quantity, specifically the meat serving. On my last visit, I received a significantly smaller portion of meat compared to the standard amount I have consistently received here and at other Boustan locations. What was particularly concerning was the observation of a staff member—a sir with glasses—who appeared to instruct the person cutting the meat to give a smaller quantity while maintaining careful visual supervision of the process. This apparent intentional reduction in portion size, particularly for a regular patron, is unacceptable and suggests a concerning practice. Given my extensive history with this restaurant, this discrepancy is not an oversight but a clear change that drastically reduces the value proposition. I highly recommend that other customers be aware of this potential issue.

Very poor customer service. I went there I asked the worker on the makeline if we can use the washroom because I really needed to change my baby. The worker said yes. Once I got out, there was another worker who started shouting at us saying we can’t use the washroom because we didn’t buy anything yet. He started yelling at me I’ve repeated many time we did asked the other worker ,instead of asking his coworkers he was yelling at us . I was going to order but after this incident it threw me off and I just left. It was the worst customer service I don’t recommend anyone going there you will be treated poorly.

The employee told us we can’t use the washroom because we didn’t eat there and service was very awful and he was so rude and no had respect. I will never go there. They have no respect and no sense.
I have been going to Boustan across the city for years, but last week when I went to this location on Jean-Taalon O, as soon as I walked in there was a strong smell of bleach in the air. There were 2 employees behind the counter where one had been in the process of cleaning when I walked in. I ordered a baked sandwich combo and the employee that had been cleaning prepared the sandwich with black gloves on. After 2-3 bites of the sandwich my throat started aching and I right away wondered if the employee had prepared the sandwich with the same dirty gloves he had been cleaning with (GOD I really hope not), I ended up throwing the rest of the sandwich away. Very disappointing, felt gross.

The place is humid and stinks of mold walking in. Customer service is horrible. We wanted to make sure the order was right because there was confusion and a mix up at the start of us ordering. Employee got frustrated and irritated because of it for no reason. They try to squeeze every cent out of you. We asked for extra coleslaw on the side because we knew it wouldn’t fit in the pita and employee wanted to charge us an extra 5$ whereas other Boustans will gladly give it to you for free in a big tub. Extremely stingy and sad.

I like Boustan restaurants, and whenever I am in Montréal it's my favorite go to place. but this branch was not at the level of other branches. The staff are nice but they were only two and couldn't keep up. They didn't get the order right, taste was ok, but not at the level I'm used too here. I'm sure they are doing there best, but probably need more help.
