Truly amazing.Needed something warm and comforting that wasn't too expensive and this place was a hit.The noodles were bouncy and every broth and incredibly flavourful. The beef broth was topped with chili oil adding a little tang to the soup. The tomato soup was well balanced, not too sour not too salty. You can add more noodles for just 1$ !The service was very nice. The server was sweet and gave us just enough space while we were eating without feeling neglected. The owner was very welcoming and passionate about his food and restaurant. He gave us amazing reccomendations on what to get as well! Will definitely come back for the food and the ambience!
This place is severely underrated! I promise you every dish on the menu will surprise you and damn all the flavors really do melt on your tongue. Best spicy northern chinese restaurant ever.
The food was high quality, although the dishes were quite a bit different than what I expected. The chef/owner puts a lot of passion into it. He was also really friendly. Ambience is nice, everything was clean and well-lit with lots of space.
A friend who was born in Chongqing suggested that I try this restaurant for a little taste of her home. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the owners are so friendly and welcoming! We ordered two variations of the braised beef noodle soup. The meat was tougher than I’d prefer but the portion was generous, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was deliciously complex in flavor. Keep in mind your level of heat. They seem to go off a scale of 1-5 and we ended up with level 2 for the soup. We enjoy a good level of heat so next time we’ll say a 3!
We had a great time! Terry took care of us and chatted with us. The food was the best chinese I had in months! We will be back. Be sure to try the crawfish and/or the chicken with chili and peanuts! Thanks again Terry!
I ordered 2 portions of Taiji Noodles with the option half minced pork sauce with cowpeas and half braised beef through Fantuan for pick-up, yet these were what I got. They ran out of the braised beef and it would be better if they've told me, yet they did NOT! They simply just changed to wonton soups without asking me. This is not the worst thing — do you see the portions? Like how can they cost nearly $25 in total? Extremely small portions with average taste; the minced pork sauce with cowpeas tasted exactly like instant noodles. Never coming back and would NOT recommend at all!
Had a little group dinner in this place, which turned out to be amazing. Owner is a cool guy to talk too. Highly recommend.
This place feels like eating a delicious home cooked meal. Incredible atmosphere, nice people and, most importantly, delicious food! Terry will make you feel like family and the food will speak for itself. Also, his dish recommendations are spot on!
The food was good but it feels like they may be having trouble getting ingredients since there was a lot unavailable on the menu and also they seemed a little understaffed. Still the food arrives relatively quickly and was quite good. Would recommend if you like spice.
Officially fed up of this place. The staff are truly the worst. Not sure if they even realize how unprofessional and unwelcoming they are. Complete ignorance. Really a pity bc I met the owner once who is really nice, attentive and genuinely cares, and also bc I love the spicy dumpling soup. After a dozen bad experiences I just can’t anymore.

Many stuffs on the menu are missing, probably because of the pandemic, which is kinda understandable. For those who are not missing the taste is good. Very spicy for general preference, so if you don't feel like a hot food lover you probably want to specify a lower spicy level.
Discovered this authentic Chongqing restaurant while looking for a new place to eat in downtown on a Friday evening! The resto was quiet and clean, just the way we like it, and the noodles were so fresh and flavourful. The portion was generous! The braised beef noodle soup looks spicy but it wasn't! The Zhajiangmian was very spicy with lots of peppercorns. We will definitely go back to try the other items on the menu! ?
It was my first time eating there and definitely coming back!Service is friendly. The server suggested us 2 dishes that are popular. Everything tasted fresh!
These homemade noodles are delicious. Even the not so spicy are very spicy! The vegetarian noodles are much tastier than Kinto Ramen.
If you like Chongqing style food or spicy food in general, this is a great place for you. The Chongqing style noodles are very authentic and the Chongqing style sausages are awesome. Service is not bad as the owner is a great guy. No complaints at all.
