I had the 5 services vegan menu for 125$. It was well thought, not just taking off the meat to have a "vegan menu". There was many ingredients that I didn’t know about, a great discovery and experience for a special moment with my boyfriend. Service was also good. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-28
Pasquale Vari's students did him honor. Arthur’s service is impeccable. A lunch menu with presentations of tasty dishes. You will judge by my photos. A calm atmosphere in a sunny dining room. Ideal for reunions as well as a business lunch
Vegetarian options: Well indicated on the menu
Dietary restrictions: Very attentive
Parking: Peaceful atmosphere, well-spaced tables

Service was perfect , my sons love there dishes pasta fancies, I took porch and not impressed, my stomach had problem with that meal, contrary the dessert were excellent. I wish we can have more choices and we found the price is too high
A disappointing evening in the context of Montréal en Lumière which promised an intriguing menu with boreal flavors. Menu and presentations tempting but flavors oh so disappointing by their absence. How is this even possible when local and selective sourcing is promised? With a $125 menu and what's more, a $2 bread supplement? I say “help!”
Service by ITHQ students touching and friendly, even for their clumsiness but above all their desire to do well and a still innocent and pure passion for demanding professions and clients who are just as demanding.
Chef, you have to forget a little about the appearance of the dishes and put maximum steam on the flavors and taste. Let’s go!

To be honest I don't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fine dining experience.
This was a gift for my mother and we were both disappointed with the expertise of the restoration!
The dessert was very simple, an apple crisp style.
The portions are very small for a veal cheek with potatoes and carrots.
I think it would be important to notice this lack of perfectionism in the service.

The first waitress almost forced me to eat the beef tongue. I said I didn't want any so the 2nd waitress kindly wanted to bring me a vegetarian dish. I was expecting a little more flavor for Mexican gastronomy. According to my tastes it lacked spice and I would also have liked a little more chilli or a little pepper. In all the services, these are the desserts that I preferred ?

One of my favourite restaurants in the world! I would travel to Montreal just for this! Thank you to the couple on the airplane from Vancouver to Montreal for the recommendation!!
The service is incredible and they do have menus in English and French! Our server was lovely. We booked our reservation for 8 and we stayed until 10. Great atmosphere and perfect for dates, anniversaries and celebrations.
The food was delicious! We started with a free sample of tartare. It was great. The duck tartare was great and went well with the potato chips and the sauces. We got the quebec cheeses and they were divine. As a lactose intolerant person it was a lot but the selection of cheeses were excellent and they were a good variety too! Two firm and one soft cheese. The halibut was flaky and fresh. The steak was nicely cooked too! The potato side was crispy and paired well. The dessert was good. I felt like I didn’t love the texture of the rice pudding with the grains of rice but it was interesting. The buckwheat dessert was also good. I appreciate how unique they look.

By far the best lunch in Montreal! The Duck was cooked to perfection! The Pork was as tender as butter! Incredible place. A hidden gem! The servers were extremely helpful and made outstanding recommendations. The prices are very reasonable. You WILL NOT be disappointed here!

For food lovers who want to discover inventive cuisine, in a calm atmosphere where you can hear yourself talking, which has unfortunately become rare in Montreal. Everything is complemented by a professional and very friendly service. This is a valuable address, the ITHQ restaurant. What's more, the prices are very reasonable. Well done !

Going to the ITHQ is a lot of fun. It’s a training restaurant, so you’re getting fine dining at much lower price. It is still an expensive night but it’s a great price compared to what you might pay elsewhere. The experience is really wonderful. For the vegan tasting menu, you get 4 full courses, an amuse bouche, and a sorbet for around $110. That’s a lot of money but I could see other places charging $150 or more. The portion sizes are also pretty big. I was surprised by how much food I was served! Be prepared for a long evening though. I think some of that is due to a lower comfort/less demand for the vegan tasting menu. If you go a la carte (there are vegan items in the regular menu as well) it might move faster. I noticed a couple I walked in with finishing their desserts when I went to the bathroom before our main was even served. Our reservation was for 8 pm and we left around 10:30. Personally I like to linger in a nice place but it again puts ITHQ into « special occasion » territory instead of « whenever » territory. They also have a breakfast/brunch service but I’m not sure how that is for vegans. Our meal consisted of a tomato salad with cashew cream, cavetelli with mushrooms in soy cream sauce, a dish of cauliflower three ways with a great side salad, and a dessert featuring different preparations of Quebec peaches. Because the menus change seasonally and based on the course the students are learning I would definitely go back.
