This old school diner is always less than half full when other breakfast joints in the neighborhood have a line down the block. It's not the food or the service. The food is standard Montreal breakfast fare served fast and hot (the menu is a little limited). The service is genuine and quick.I think it's because the place perpetually looks dark and closed from the outside. It's kind of dreary on the inside too. The inside is covered in every imaginable shade of beige...
Perfect! I love everything about this place. It's like going back in time to a classic diner of fifty years ago. My partner and I were visiting from Seattle and we we're immediately greeted by the owner when we walked in the door. Such a warm welcome! The food, service, and affordable prices were all impressive. Delicious coffe with free refills.
We stumbled on this place while looking for breakfast and boy were we glad we did!! Excellent food at a great price, hot coffee with refills, and super friendly staff. Was a great reminder of how great the traditional breakfast diner experience can be, and is hard to find (at least in Toronto where we are from). Will definitely recommend to others!
