Excellent restaurant with very delicious food

Horrible experience. Specially when you see mice running around the restaurant. Really a turn off.Mentioned this to the waiter and he said it was normal for the neighborhood. Definitely not coming back to this place.

Our experience at this restaurant was truly awful. It fell significantly short of basic sanitary standards, and to our dismay, a mouse made an appearance on the floor, which completely ruined our evening. While the waiter did offer us a complimentary drink, it's worth noting that this gesture, though appreciated, couldn't salvage our evening from the unfortunate encounter.

They didn’t let me sit with my friends who were already having table and ordered food and drinks. The guy - Server - told me that its compulsory to order MAIN COURSE for me Indvidually.So , m telling in advance for all customers looking to come up here should be prepared to deal with the bitterness of the serves and he mentioned MANAGER told him.So I won’t recommend about this restaurant.

We were four who went for dine in and ordered pizza ,pasta and mocktails,suddenly employee came and ask to order more and said we dont cater people who just order two main course and drinks,like seriously ?? I dont want to disrespect him like he did ,paid the bill and walked away. Even he said i cant order garlic bread coz its a cheap dish. I feel pitty for the owner who has employed such RACIST employeee. (He was a tall white guy dint remember his name) . Foolish person , mannerless person. Who is just literally frustrated with his job and letting out on guest. Would never recommend this place try some other good places on the same street those have a welcoming approach for their customers. ALSO do read other reviews for this restaurant, people posted the same concerns.

The food was disappointingly overpriced, and it didn't meet my expectations. I cannot recommend the "tartar de saumon" or the salmon dish. However, the pizza was decent. When it comes to appetizers, the bruschetta bread was extremely dry and lacked flavor.

My friend and I visited Montréal this week and were standing in the street looking at local restaurant menus online when a server came up to us and aggressively told us he knew we were looking at Restaurant Jacques-Cartier’s google reviews. We tried to explain we were just looking at menus but he called us liars and said “the reason there are poor reviews is that entitled tourists come order a pizza and stay at the restaurant for hours and then write angry reviews when I kick them out”. We were extremely uncomfortable as young women and would have eaten at Jacques-Cartier if this server had not approached and harassed us on the street. Comments from the owner say « le client a le droit de rester le temps qu’il vaudra ,il est chez lui » but employees seem to think otherwise and scared away potential customers with his aggressive behaviour.
