Tried and true Chinese fare. Best chinese food outside of chinatown. Pork eggrolls must try. Update April 2024... still one of the best Chinese resto in Montreal. Awesome food, great service.

I have been going there for over thirty years.Have tried several restaurants like kam shing.No doubt the quality and portions are top notch.The service at times as you have read in previous reviews is questionable,but no doubt it has gotten better.If you don’t want msg or less sodium they will be happy to oblige.Again great food!!!psBeef and broccoli.,orange beef,chicken fried noodles and mixed vegetables are very good.

I have been going to kam shing for over 30 years. When it use to be across the road. My last visit on a Saturday was worst than anything i ever experienced. The food wasn’t good which I don’t mind it can happen sometimes. But the waiter treated us so bad. We were a group of 12 peoples. He was super rude. Didn’t bring the food in order my appetizer came at last. I asked him why is appetizer coming late he started taking my other food away. then he walked away. Also we were finished all other food and rice came when we were done eating everything else. So we had to pack that home. The whole point it’s ok for the food to not be as good as always. But I wouldn’t go back to a place where the service is so horrible. It takes very hard work to rise but very easy to fall. I hope u guys improve in your behaviour in toward your customers.

Decent place for most of my take out options or unexpected dinners out. Their portions are always generous so it's easy to share. Waiters bring you a wonderful service but I can't say the same thing about the guy in the cashier.Good variety of vegetarian options.
The service was very bad. I understand there is rush hour, but customers that came 15 or 20 min later had their food before. We didn’t order much 3 plates. Food was cold and each food came in a 15 minutes later for each other. The food was mid.

Came back to this restaurant today,order 1 fried rice and one fried noodles Cantonese style. Omg they are all tasteless, the fried rice has no taste, you can tell by the look,the fried noodles with chicken cut in big thick pieces so it's not tender . Never spend any penny here
