A great restaurant, delicious food! Don’t hesitate to try the barbecue shrimp, incredible! A very chill and relaxed atmosphere. An experience to repeat! Green tea at the end of the meal just makes it perfect.

Very good service, fresh and excellent products. A pleasant and smiling server. We were a large table and everything went well, patient and attentive. I recommend and I will come back.

We came to eat, the dishes were dirty and the owner charged us double the prices indicated on the electronic menu, telling us to have based it on the paper menu that was never given to us. Anarch!! Restaurant to avoid.

SCAM!! We went to this restaurant for dinner as a family on December 26, 2024. We chose 2 sea bream by weight from the stand and ordered salads from the menu whose QR code was stuck on the tables. These salads and rice appeared at one price. What was our surprise when we went to the checkout... The restaurant owner gave us a hand-written bill, with prices that did not correspond at all to the prices mentioned on the menu displayed not only through the QR code but also on their website. $280!!!
The price of the salads displayed at €6.99 or even 5.99, the green salad was billed at 12.99!! Explanation from the restaurateur: we have small and large plates... In addition he presents me with a paper menu which was never given to us when we arrived in the restaurant... Not to mention that he charged us one of the taxes which currently removed for the Christmas period...
CLEARLY WE ARE SCAMMED. I would gladly report this to the fraud services if there is one in Canada. I don't recommend this restaurant, especially since the food was really not worth it and the dishes were dirty.

‏The restaurant has a very bad reputation because of the owner and because of his food, which is never fresh at all times, and this information is from a former employee in the restaurant, where she says that all his food stays for days and sometimes spoils food and does not throw it away and completes its sale, especially fish.

‏The owner does not have good morals with customers and takes extra money from customers outside their original bill (imagine he charge the customers 1$ extra for ice and there is more and more)

Also He steals the workers' tipping as he is an opportunist for people who need work to hire them for $10 per hour cash and does not give them their right.

By the way, I ate at this restaurant and asked about it and found out all this.

I went to the La Mer Rouge restaurant on Saturday November 30th, 2024 with my wife and 4 children.
There was only one person serving.
The food was supposed to cost a total of $132 Canadian dollars. The server charged us $200. However, I agreed to pay despite this. I told him I only had American dollars. If I could pay the equivalent with American dollars?
The waiter called someone on the phone. After 5 minutes a guy came and arrogantly started talking to the waiter in a foreign language other than Spanish, French and English. I talked to him. I told him I only had US dollars to pay. He said no problem but I have to pay the same amount which is $200 in US dollars . However, I agreed to pay $200 American to avoid any problems before my kids and my wife.
Worst case scenario is I gave the waiter $20 as a tip. The owner or manager took the money from him. It hurts. The place itself is clean but the owner is horrible.
