The food is actually very tasty, though quite light so not great if you are hungry. And of course, the view and vibes can’t be beat.

My issue was with the service - it was extremely slow, I had to ask twice for my check and still waited 15min. Also waited 10-15min before they brought me a menu.

My dish had a nice fancy cheese and that’s mainly why I chose it (the mushrooms). I noticed there was no cheese in mine, so I asked the male waiter whether the dish had cheese and he chose to lie and said “no it doesn’t.” Don’t quite understand this…. I paid for the cheese and it wasn’t there, and when I call it out they cover it up? Very strange, there’s a million better ways to handle it. When I ordered it, he could’ve told me they were out of the cheese and I could’ve chosen something else. Or when I asked he could’ve said he’s not sure and checked instead of lying about it. I would have even been happy if they had brought me out a side of the cheese to eat with my bread if it was a mistake. I feel gipped because I paid for the cheese and it wasn’t there, and I left hungry because without it the dish was just vegetables (I got no egg).

On the other hand, the lady working today was very friendly so issue was just with the male server.

Good services and great view of the old port. Appetizing and interesting dishes. Several vegetarian options.

La Traversée is the restaurant adjacent to the Bota-Bota spa. I loved that they had vegetarian options and alcohol-free drinks. The food was great, but the portions are small for the price. I would suggest a appetizer and a main. The service was great and friendly.

We have been to La Traversée several times, but on our last visit we waited about 3 weeks before receiving our deposit. We were charged $134.00 for two glasses of wine. I had to exchange numerous emails to rectify the problem. In order to avoid a similar experience, we will no longer go to Bota Bota who seemed uncooperative and not very competent in understanding our situation.

This was the worst experience ever. Been to Montreal many times would not recommend this spot to anyone. Wanted to have an amazing dinner. Just so disappointing. We paid 56.00 for a bottle of Ruffini Chianti which is priced at 14.00 (Canadian.)Once I complained, the service was worse. I could hear the negative comments. They did not know I spoke/understood French.Worst experience ever in Montreal.

Kevyn, Thomas, and one of the female servers whose name I didn't get are excellent knowledgable servers and they make an awesome coffee. Food was top notch (I had the beets). Highly recommend stopping here after the spa!
