The clam pasta was really good! Pizza too! Beautiful pleasant atmosphere, warm and high quality service! (glass of wine never empty, free salad, little jokes here and there) I want to go back.

Very disappointing. I often pass by this restaurant and have wanted to go there for several years. Finally I went there on Sunday September 24, 2023 for dinner with my girlfriend and my mother. We were told that there is a group and that it may take a little longer to serve us, we are okay with that. We sit at the table and order our starters (garlic bread au gratin and grilled vegetables) and a beer for me. Also, we ordered our plates: tortellini alla gigi, linguini alla colbert and veal with brandy and mushroom cream. At the same time there are two other families arriving at the restaurant (these families are not part of the group mentioned at the beginning), the families also place their order and a few minutes later we receive our starters and my beer. About ten minutes later, the other two families received their plates... well... they even finished eating and we just received our starters. I complain to the waitress about the wait time and the fact that everyone has received their plates except for us and I point out to her that we have been waiting for almost an hour. At this point, after the starters, we're not even hungry. The waitress "politely" tells me that she can give us our plates to take away if we don't want to wait... I mean, it's ridiculous to wait more than an hour for pasta. Finally 15 minutes later we receive our plates... including the pasta, like the service, are very disappointing, half-hot and excessively salty. Another waiter asks us if everything is to our liking and I mention to him that the pasta is very salty and he just responds "ah" and leaves. He offers nothing. We weren't even able to finish our plates. In the end, our experience at Colbert comes down to: very long waiting time for warm and salty pasta at more than 100 dls.Once again, I am very disappointed

Amazing experience. I love this kind of place, which probably exists for 30-50 years. I'm not sure. Authentic italian food. We had difficulty selecting as they have so many great choices. They are offering two types of bread, and seriously, one of the two the best garlic bread of my life (I'm almost 60). We were 3 we ordered a four cheese pizza; just amazing with goat and blue cheese. Pasta and veal. Alfredo agai the best ever and I have been to many Italian restaurants in many country. Antipasta for two... 3 we had difficulties eating everything, and everything was amazing, including a huge portion of fried calamari. Prices are very reasonable for a restaurant in Montreal. The only negative for some, but not for me, is the an older place so not trendy with high ceiling or open kitchen; like I said at the beginning a good old Italian restaurant. Nice selection of wine; not extreme. We didn't take dessert as we were so full from our nain meal. Now I know why this place has been surviving all these years.

This restaurant/trattoria is a great discovery during our trip to Canada. We had liguini with carbonara, cockles and gnocchi with gorgonzola, each guest found their dish delicious, the same for the desserts and cappuccino made with great care! Many Italian restaurants in France are not that delicious ?

The pizza is good but the fries I received with my order were simply unacceptable. Dry, too salty and what's more I think they are old recooked fries because they are brown, overcooked and have an unpleasant texture so I will order from another pizzeria next time.

There was a big group when I arrived at the restaurant. They told me that I'll need to wait 20min for the food, I said ok. But the dish was served almost after 1hour! (ridiculous waiting time for pasta in an Italian restaurant!) Moreover, the pasta was SALTY!!!! So disappointing...

Excellent food, the atmosphere was melo, not too many people for a Monday night, which turned out good for conversation. We had a pleasant evening. I highly recommend it. We found parking right in front of the restaurant.
