Our family traveled to Montreal for the thanksgiving holiday. We had our thanksgiving meal at L’Orignal. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and shown to our table. Throughout we had fast and very friendly service. The food was excellent, the atmosphere cozy and the prices fair. We loved it.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience! I ordered the braised beef cheek and it was incredibly tender, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. My husband had the bison tomahawk and he was genuinely amazed — easily one of the best meals he’s had in a long time.
The place itself is very cozy, almost like a warm and inviting chalet, which made the whole evening feel even more special.
To top it all off, the chef came by our table to say hi, and he was truly awesome and friendly, passionate, and clearly proud of his craft.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for exceptional food, a cozy atmosphere, and a memorable experience!
We had the specials for both appetizers and main course and everything was excellent: poached eggs on smoked salmon with caviar, shrimp tempura, beef cheeks on a bed of mashed potatoes and green onion. Delicious and good portions. Friendly, helpful staff. Recommend.

Fabulous 2 hr dining experience for 4 of us. Perfectly paced and drinks came out immediately.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Tagliatelle, steak, vegetables of the day and of course poutine.
The team are incredibly friendly and attentive and the atmosphere homely and inviting.
