Loved everything about Mastard. The cocktails were phenomenal, I had the colada which was perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband had their green, herb drink Which was also absolutely delicious, very fresh. We started with an amuse bouche which was delicious. We added the wine pairings but just one since there was 12 oz of wine total (3 per course) and we wanted to have a cocktail as well without getting completely drunk. Splitting the pairing was the perfect amount and the wines were delicious - white which I normally don’t prefer but perfectly paired.Everything was absolutely beautiful, well balanced and had exceptional flavor. I enjoyed every bite - I’ve dined at a lot of Montreal restaurants but this one took the cake. While it’s expensive, it’s completely worth it. The flavor, service, atmosphere- all wonderful. And the best part for me? You leave satisfied and not still hungry. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely experience!Dietary restrictions: They were excellent at accommodating my gluten and corn allergy - I was able to enjoy all the dishes without much modification to the dishes I could see.

Dinner at Mastard is not just dinner. Each bite makes you proud to live in Quebec, each plate pays homage to the territory where we live. Both in our plate and in the atmosphere, we feel modesty; every ingredient that is incorporated into the plate is tasted, there is no concept of “star of the show”. Each food brings its own say to the plate and that is the impeccable arrangement of these different flavors; not in one but in 5 plates; which makes me take my hat off to the Mastard team. This absence of "star of the show" is also felt just as much in the atmosphere of the restaurant itself, with the entire Mastard team being presented to us; not just the chef and waiters. For someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a long time, I can say that this humility is rare, the chef is very often the star and no one hears about the other cooks. In this restaurant, we would not be able to distinguish the chef from the other cooks if we did not know beforehand what the chef looks like, and I admire this characteristic of chef Simon Mathys, he places emphasis on all the members of his team by not making any difference between him and his team. Many cooks are able to buy a high-value protein from another corner of the planet and cover it with a "specialty" sauce that is the only flavor addition to the plate, a sauce in which the other ingredients are lost. The Mastard team distinguishes itself from this type of chef by using ingredients from their surroundings; sometimes very simple, but transforming them into absolutely impeccable dishes, without losing the flavor of a single ingredient, which is an incredibly difficult task.Dining at Mastard involves embarking on five trips to the different regions of Quebec, without knowing where the plate takes us before tasting it. You have to experience it to understand.

Amazing dinner, absolutely wonderful progression of dishes, and super solid flavours and presentation.Service was a bit disorganized at arrival, we had resos for 8:30, showed up at exactly on time with a half dozen or so other customers showing up just after us. Had to stand awkwardly in the front for too long before someone came to speak with us. Took 5+ minutes to acknowledge and seat us (2-top) even with a table available. This was only only disappointing part of the service, and took until 9pm before we could order. Understandable with many people arriving, but it was the first impression and didn't feel organized.Everything else was spectacular. Loved having different people from the kitchen bring out different dishes. Wine pairing was completely worthwhile. Stellar dinner and experience, totally worth it and would recommend Mastard very easily to my friends.

My favorite restaurant so far. The handling of flavors, textures, colors, it is simply beautiful to see the three-dimensional thinking of the chef through his dishes. We have visited different restaurants within the same range and Mastard is definitely a restaurant I want to keep coming back to.At all times the service was excellent and the drinks were exquisite.

Restaurant Mastard offered me an exceptional gastronomic experience. The service was impeccable. They were always there at the right time to meet my needs and provide me with the most pleasant experience. The dishes were all more delicious than the others. The quality of the ingredients, the finesse of the flavors and the precision of the culinary techniques were impeccable. It is an inventive and daring cuisine that tickles the taste buds and invites discovery. The price is completely justified given the exceptional quality of the dining experience offered. The Mastard Restaurant is an essential address for lovers of gastronomy and haute cuisine.

We had a lovely night. All the dishes exceeded my expectations. I feel full but not overwhelmed. Highly appreciate the effort of every staff to deliver such an amazing experience. The only thing that I would like to feel better about is at one point, we could hardly hear each other talking. Wish we were seated on the other empty side of the room or had more spaces from other groups of customers. Will definitely come back.

A perfect evening. Incredibly kind and attentive staff. It’s the perfect balance between discreet and overly present service. They are there at the right time. The dishes are beyond reproach. Afterwards it's a question of taste. But they are extremely well executed. The price is more than fair. There is a lot of work that goes into creating this kind of dish.Congratulations and long life.

Simon Mathys and his kitchen brigade do an excellent job. Value for money rarely seen. Worthy of the greatest restaurants in the province at a fraction of the price. Everything was executed to perfection. The walleye was phenomenal. Reasonable wine prices. Thanks to the less expensive rent which allows us to have access to a large succulent table. Do we recommend? Obviously.

Wow! What an incredible culinary experience! The service is impeccable and warm. The search for tastes and flavors with local products, techniques, textures and colors of each dish was a marvel! The brilliant idea of presenting the whole team behind the experience is unusual and so inclusive. I vote the Michelin star for this establishment!!!!
