Just ordered a simple pizza and a coke. Total woth tax et tip, 21$ The poutine was horrible and the fountain coke a joke, half ice ... I don't usually eat at nickels... That will not become a habit.

At first, everything seemed perfect. The food was tasty, and our waitress Josianne was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We ordered the entrecôte and fish & chips + poutine. The dessert, gâteau praliné, was really good too and Josianne even gave us the name of the distributor, which we appreciated. Additionally, we were impressed by how fast the service was!
But unfortunately, things took a turn. We saw mice running around the restaurant, which was really disturbing and made us question the hygiene standards. Someone, possibly the manager, did come over to apologize for that. But for a restaurant, the presence of mice is simply unacceptable.
Then, when it was time to pay, we found out they weren’t accepting gift cards due to a “technical issue.” We only learned this at the end of the meal, which was frustrating, especially since it seems the issue has been ongoing. There was no prior notice, which felt misleading and disappointing.
Overall, the experience left us disappointed. We don’t recommend this location and probably won’t return anytime soon.

The food was fantastic but we were given a hard time by the waitress because we wanted to share our dish. I simply wanted to enjoy the burger and my partner only wanted poutine. I didn't want to waste the extra fries that would have come with my burger as a separate dish
She said she would have to charge us a 'sharing fee ' of 4 dollars if my partner ate some of my food and that it's restaurant policy. I didn't like to be policed in such a way so I won't be back.

The Celine Cafe was amazing! A chocolate lover's delight. Also the smoked meat sandwich melts in your mouth! It was great service, and great food, in a cute diner setting.

Food was ok nothing great however this place was very cold not much heating. When the group of 10 I walked by 7 were wearing jackets while eating it's not normal. Plus they don't take nickels gift cards . Also bathrooms not in best of shape.
Wooow! It must have been almost forty years since I last walked into a Nickels, back when René Angélil and Céline Dion founded the banner! And, from what I remember, the menu has really changed, even if smoked meat is still in the spotlight. The decor... phew... if you like vintage, you will be amazed!
