Two days ago we had dinner at 10pm. We ordered wonton soup with only wonton dumplings and green onions, fried rice with salted fish and chicken and Chinese broccoli. The food was great except the broccoli was a bit hard. Tonight we returned and ordered wonton soup, 1/2 of roast duck, bok choy with garlic and two orders of white rice. Instead we received wonton soup that bore no resemblance to our order of two nights ago. It had no flavor and was filled with vegetables. The roast duck was dry and lacked any fat. There was no garlic in the bok choy. When we finished the meal we spoke with the waiter and he did not accept our criticism well and replied there was nothing he could do. He insisted that the same cook prepared both meals. We found that hard to believe. Our bill was $78.66 Canadian. We shall not return. Good luck if you chose to dine there.

A few days ago we arrived to Montreal late in the evening. We came to Keung Kee because it is the only place we found near our hotel that open until midnight, We did not expect much but the food was fantastic and the restaurant was full at 11pm. We were impressed and came back today for dinner, there is only another table of two customers beside us. We ordered the wonton soup which was delecious the other night but tonight it is tasteless , the stir fried vegetable the other night was tasteful with garlic, tonight it is tasteless with no flavor of garlic or anything else. The roast duck is dry and chewy, the worst meal we ever had in Montreal. We asked the man in charge what happened, he said nothing happened and argued that everything is the same and there is nothing he can do. Is there something that other local customers know that we do not know ?

The food was very tasty, and the service was fast. The problem is that they demand a tip, and if you don't give what they want, they get upset and keep your change. They don't return it anymore.

We overslept from a nap after long drive from NY and missed all major restaurants’ last order. There were only a handful of restaurants that opened very late and we went to Keung Kee for midnight dinner. We ordered a few things that costed CAD 400+ for midnight bites but those seafood items were great and fresh. The place’s not fancy/luxurious but they knew how to prep and cook seafood to perfection. We had some razor clams, steamed oysters and Geoduck (giant clam that is a few pounds of weight) both ways: sashimi and soup with bitter green, tofu, fish and geoduck. Everything was amazing.

A hole in the wall followed by a steep flight of stairs. Jammed packed on a Thursday evening, with over 90% of the clientele looking Chinese or East Asian, no nonsense waiters and decor, the number one choice for Chinese food of my two Montreal hosts, a Swiss and a world traveled Chinese. This combination almost guarantees that the food would be superb and it was. I especially liked the steamed fish and the deep fried oysters. Incidentally, the other two guests were an Anglo Canadian and a Hindu Canadian, and I am a Chinese American.

I loved Keung Kee, an unadorned walk-up in Chinatown. We were the only Gweilo in the restaurant, guaranteeing authenticity. Don't expect fancy, but Keung Kee had AC, a pleasure in 94 degree weather. My shrimp in lobster sauce, around $17, was out of this world delicious. Singapore noodles was average according to my spouse, but Keung Kee is known for its seafood. Service was professional and pleased with my oohs and aahs. They were appreciative of my cash payment and my 20% tip.

Service was great and the food was even better. Great value for your money. Highly recommended. Ask what's on special. We had the in-shell scallops, which were incredible.

Wow. What a fantastic surprise. It was truly an authentic Cantonese restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions generous. The food came out fast. We had sizzling black bean chicken ,yum, sweet-and-sour, pork, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, fried rice, delicious. The only thing that wasn’t great was the roast duck. It was not like roast duck we get in San Francisco. I wish this was closer to house we would go all the time.

We visited here late one evening and had a good meal. Service was quick and quite friendly. We especially enjoyed the aubergine general Tao dish. Great flavours, we kept talking about it for the rest of our trip there. Prices are quite reasonable and portion sizes were fine.

This is one of the restaurants that stays open after 10 p.m. in Montreal's Chinatown at least in the summer. People were leaving after their supper and we entered. Things I like 1) the teapot that welcomes us with small, clean cups. 2) The well-sealed box and a bag to leave with our leftovers. 3) The bathroom was clean even late at night. 4) The new menus are very pretty and effective. 5) The food is really fresh and delicious, well presented.

We paid $25 for the surf clam only got 4 pcs. Saw another person posted about two month ago, they have 8 pcs on the plate. Ordered beef noodle and 1/2 plate. Looks like if you do not speak Cantonese you will be screwed. Very sneaky and unethical practice. If you are a tourist, don’t go.

Nice little Cantonese restaurant in Chinatown. Open late which worked well last night. Upstairs one floor. Great food and prices Great customer service. No great ambience.

Ambiance: dated and worn Chinese restaurant Food: the menu is diverse with authentic non-westernized dishes and some westerized dishes. The Singapore Noodles were terrific as was the fried rice. Service: average, not very attentive but OK Overall cleanliness: below average Bathroom cleanliness: far below average So why 4 stars? The Singapore noodles and fried rice were sooo good!

Nothing authentic. Need to find a better chef in stead of totally rely on limited option in Montreal Chinatown. Staff are rude, especially the man at the cashier, he will turn nasty if you don't give a big tip. Remember, tip is a reward for good food and friendly service.

Delicious food. We did not visit restaurant. But we ordered it. We ordered around seven dishes costing $110. So I would say it was a bit expensive but Thoroughly enjoyable. I will recommend the following: shrimp fried rice, mushroom with bok choy and bamboo shoots, and mushroom with sliced fish. V authentic taste.
