extremely poor service and poor attitude from waiters, at the cash when you pay and at the reception when you get a number to wait for your table for dim sum... whether this is busy lunch weekend or weekdays. they speak poorly english or french and staff attitude is poor to the point it's almost unacceptable and rude... towards paying customers. food is so so at best and price is not cheap either. so in summary, i do not recommend going here for takeout or to dine-in. and if you bring friends or family here, you will be completely embarrassed because the waiters ignore their customers and almost never check on you to see if you need anything, and yet, they expect a 15-20% tips. crazy sense of entitlement! completely do not recommend this place!

Went their for dim sum yesterday, and even thought the place is not packed, the service was extremely slow.. we waited almost an hour and we had : a tray of xiu mai, a tray of dumpling, a bowl of porc chop ( with almost nothing in it but bones and fat), and a dish of very cold shrimp. That’s it. 4 dishes in 1 hour. We flagged down different waitresses to ask for service and for the ladies who push the food cart too but no one cared. The worst thing ? All of that costed us 31$ and when we said we don’t want to give tips because of bad service, the lady at the cashier , not only did not care about our feedbacks , but kinda blame us for not calling the cart ladies enough . If there was a 0 star that would be my most accurate rating.

One typical old style Chinese restaurant. Service was meh... Ok-ish, food was... eatable, won't call delicious. If it wasn't my parents wanted to eat dim sum, there could be loads of other choices in walking distance.

Good dim sum service with the carts! Usually best to go after 11am. Good variety of items and prices.

Classic Cantonese dim sum that still has cart service at brunch. The food is fresh and tasty and the service ranges from excellent to curmudgeonly but isn't that the charm? Don't be put off by reviews that don't understand the humor in gruff service. Super spacious so easy for groups.
Good & great service

In Montreal for the day with the family. They had an event when we were there, so the service was a little slow. We didn't mind because we were not in a rush. The food were delicious! I recommend this place.

Authentic, Generous, and Unforgettable
Had dinner at Ruby Rouge Restaurant yesterday and was genuinely impressed. The food is absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and unmistakably authentic Chinese cuisine. Every dish felt like it was crafted with care and tradition.
Service was warm, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening. What really stood out was the pricing: more than affordable considering the generous portions and high quality. You truly get incredible value here.
I’ll definitely be going back — and I highly recommend Ruby Rouge to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic dining experience in Montreal.

Typical Chinese Dim Sum.
Not my first not my last visit.
Chinese friends helped us with our order. Ate at 1pm on a Monday. Limited but adequate choices on the trollies.
Overall satisfied with under $20 with tax and tip.
