Classic Cantonese dim sum that still has cart service at brunch. The food is fresh and tasty and the service ranges from excellent to curmudgeonly but isn't that the charm? Don't be put off by reviews that don't understand the humor in gruff service. Super spacious so easy for groups.
Good & great service

In Montreal for the day with the family. They had an event when we were there, so the service was a little slow. We didn't mind because we were not in a rush. The food were delicious! I recommend this place.

Authentic, Generous, and Unforgettable
Had dinner at Ruby Rouge Restaurant yesterday and was genuinely impressed. The food is absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and unmistakably authentic Chinese cuisine. Every dish felt like it was crafted with care and tradition.
Service was warm, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening. What really stood out was the pricing: more than affordable considering the generous portions and high quality. You truly get incredible value here.
I’ll definitely be going back — and I highly recommend Ruby Rouge to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic dining experience in Montreal.

Typical Chinese Dim Sum.
Not my first not my last visit.
Chinese friends helped us with our order. Ate at 1pm on a Monday. Limited but adequate choices on the trollies.
Overall satisfied with under $20 with tax and tip.

Dishes are cheap & tasteful. 👌👍🤤😁
It was impossible to have information in French or English for the menu. at the end when we went to pay, the cashier did not want to give me my money back and she told me that the rest of the money was for the tip . don’t pay them in cash, pay them in credit card.

Restaurantji Recommends
Randomly went in here. Though we were seated quickly for a weekend, the service was slow. The food was tasteless. One of the worst dim sum experiences in Montreal. We also had ordered a noodle dish for kids and it never arrived and we had to chase after the servers to get it and it eventually arrived when the rest of us were almost done our meal. We asked for the bill and had to chase after the server to receive that too. Overall not a great experience. Pricing was similar to other dim sum restaurants so I would suggest checking another place instead.
We have been visiting this restaurant for over 15 yrs and it never fails to deliver. The food is always great and the service is efficient. It is clean and well maintained, except washrooms are a bit rundown only. I would recommend the salted spicy calamari, as well as the chicken and black beef with the garlic bok Choi all delicious!

Poor to mediocre service, food is poor to mediocre at best as well. Service is mediocre at best. This restaurant is still in business only because there is a lack of decent Chinese restaurants on the island of Montreal. Not sure if I would recommend it to friends and family, tbh.

The dim sum is being carried around in carts. The majority of the dim sum we ordered were soggy and cold. The waiter literally stood next to me when I was paying to see how much I tip him. Very annoying experience!

Went there for Dim Sum - the waiter and waitress were non existent, when we did flag a waitress down to get early dimsum service (no push carts) , she looked as if we were bothering her. Getting our tea pot refilled was another annoyed waiter. When I went to pay for the bill at the pay counter, the waitress was quick to come up to me and told me that I should pay 15% tip. They are aggressive, entitled and rude. I told them in Cantonese that their service was horrible and now you're telling me what I need to pay in tips? I will never return to this restaurant when return to my home town - not surprising only 1/4 of restaurant is filled on Sunday for Dim Sum.
