Restaurant Seingalt

I had a below-average experience at this restaurant and, for the price, I honestly expected much better. The service was noticeably slow, and it took a long time to be attended to throughout the meal. On top of that, several wines listed on the menu weren’t actually available, which was disappointing given the size of the wine list.

The same issue came up with food, a few dishes on the menu couldn’t be ordered. The menu also stated you could add seafood to the arrabbiata pasta, but staff told us that option had been cancelled some time ago, and the menu simply hadn’t been updated. For a restaurant like this, I’d expect more attention to detail and a smoother overall experience.

To make matters worse, there was a mouse running around the dining area. An employee eventually dealt with it and removed it, but it was still quite unpleasant and not something you want to see while dining. Overall, the experience fell short, and I wouldn’t be in a rush to return..

Une belle surprise! Bonne bouffe, serveur sympathique et empressé, prix corrects considérant l’emplacement dans la pda! Ambiance de « sortie ». Nous avons aimé!

Expérience décevante ! Futurs clients vous êtes prévenus : évitez cet endroit ! Les serveurs semblent être serviables, mais si vous ne leur laissez pas suffisamment de pourboire, ils vont vous demander la différence. Ils sont toujours pressés pour débarrasser les tables. Ouvert uniquement de 17h à 20h. Assez bruyant, ce qui rend les conversations difficiles.

Horrible attitude from the waitress when I complained how long it took to get served the main dish. (1h15 minutes). Arrogant and rude. She walked away when I spoke to her. I didn't even leave a tip and usually I am a generous tipper. I have been here many times but this is the last time.

Nourriture excellente. Très bon service avec recommandations pour le vin et le choix de plats. Prix corrects. Bien situé pour y aller avant ou après un spectacle sans sortir dehors.

Bistro Seingalt, ideally located near the Théâtre Maisonneuve, is perfect for a meal before or after a show. The food is excellent, with refined and well-balanced dishes, highlighting quality ingredients. The service is equally remarkable, with attentive and efficient staff, ideal for a carefree evening. A practical and tasty place for a successful outing in the heart of downtown Montreal.
