My grandmother knew the original Mrs. Doña María back in their beginning when the place was on Beaubien St. Food and portions were great. The restaurant moved twice. Is now located on Villeray. Service is poor and slow. They prioritize take outs and deliveries even when there are barely 2 tables with customers you'll wait 40 min+ for your food. I believe the restaurant was sold and the cook is a mexican lady now. Food is tasty, prices are affordable and there are family combos and kids menu. However, forget the service on site, you better ask for take out if you're hungry to be sure you get your order in a reasonable time manner.

Pupusas for $4 each, accompanied by a small handful of “tostaditas” for snacking. Very golden and juicy pupusas at the same time.
We ordered refrescos de marañon ($3.89) and horchata ($3.89). It was lukewarm, with just two ice cubes. Some of the horchata powder has accumulated at the bottom of the glass. We were missing curtido and sauce at the end, for the 4 pupusas. Curtido, delicious!
Small family restaurant. Bright and clean. The friendly, attentive and diligent service. With a pretty decoration from the country of "guanacos".

I loved this place, extremely delicious! With homey flavor! And a very good size, the restaurant clean and very nice, the horchata water could improve, since my drink had a little bit of the bottom of the drink, other than that 5 stars 👍✨🩷

These pupusas are the best I have ever had. They are huge and packed with flavour. There is a great dine-in deal of three pupusas and a drink and it is incredibly filling and so affordable. Try the tamarindo - it is also exceptionally delicious.

Good but if you are hoping for fast service this is not the right place. 1 hour wait in general for orders to be packed. Much too long

The service is truly exceptional. Every time I go there, I'm treated like I'm an old regular. The waiters do more than answer our questions, they introduce us to the culture of El Salvador with all the love they have for them.
The last time we went there, we were a little hungry. We ended up devouring everything, as if we hadn't eaten in months.
Pupusas are a real DELIGHT. Only one of you is blocking a corner. All the flavors are good, but I have a big weakness for the pupusa revuelta. I recommend getting the 3 pupusas combo and varying the flavors!
This restaurant made me fall in love with yucca. Every time I go there, I get the yucca con chicharrón dish. It happened to me a few times that the yucca was a little dry, but all is forgiven when it is successful. Light, tasty, tender on the inside, crispy on the outside... Besides, last time, our waiter explained to us how delicate yucca was, which made me appreciate even more the culinary skills of the kitchen. The meat is always tender and flavorful. The freshness of the vegetables is a perfect complement to the dish.
We also had the elote tamal. Absolutely delicious, I will absolutely recommend it on my next visit!
