Dinner was delightful and delicious with super service. We enjoyed all the new tastes and would definitely return. Restuarant has a lovely ambience and there is a terrace tool
Shay is beautiful and classy ! Shay was busy on a Monday night and they had a great drink special happening. They were testing out a new cocktail menu and ordering a "tree" of 8 cocktails was half price. The cocktails were great and the food was too! Food came out very quickly and we loved everything we tried.

I had been looking forward to trying brunch here for ages. How can you resist baklawa pancakes, which were amazing, btw!! The service was not great, though. The hostess barely looked up, let alone cracked a smile. The wait staff were mostly dismissive and was almost impossible to get their attention. Took 25 minutes to get served after arriving.
I moved 3 weeks ago from NYC to Montreal. Fortunately the food here is fabulous in Griffintown/Little Burgundy and Shay is one of our favorite places here to dine. The flavors and creativity is exceptional and the staff are warm and attentive. The lamb and fried chicken are wonderful and the salads are delicious. Highly recommended.
Great food. I always have great experience at SHAY. I have numerous business dinner here with clients and every time is amazing. Friendly staff, great food. I love the Atomsphere here.
I have been to Shay for brunch and dinner. Both experiences were amazing. The service was first class and the food was delicious. I went with some friends and we tried all types of amazing dishes. The Mouhamara and Hummus with mushrooms came with fresh warm pita. Burrata was probably the best i have ever had. For the main course we had Fattet Batinjein which someone told me to get which is Eggplant, kafta and other stuff in it. So good. Fries and Brusssel sprouts are a must. All around 5 star. Cant wait to go back!
We ordered take away from here for a large family event and everybody was so pleased, they didn't even touch the food we had made ? Such original twists on items that we've all eaten, it'll make you think you've never had it before. Most recently I went there for drinks and the service, the ambiance, the drink mix (they have a really great mixologist who comes up with this convictions) were amazing. Pricing is very reasonable as well which makes it an easy choice to go back to... So I keep going back!
great atmosphere and the food is awesome
Shay Lebanese cuisine is combination of French cuisine aristocratic atmosphere. exotic, unforgettable. Lamb chop simply use sea salt, very tasty.

We were excited to try a new restaurant that had a similar menu to our favorite Syrian restaurant in Montreal. However the food was not similar. Overall the food was average, small portions, very expensive. The waiter seemed reluctant to explain how the menu worked, we had to ask them to explain it twice. They explained it is a taps style and you need to order 2-3 dishes per person. We had the fattoush salad and baba ghanoush dip, they were nice. But the bread tasted like it had been frozen. The cauliflower and the dip that went with it was nice and the portion size was good. We were most disappointed with the octopus. The octopus was 5 slices of octopus, each slice was very thin and was about the size of a dime. The plate looked half empty, we both laughed when we saw it. These tiny slithers of octopus were on top of a large pile of fennel salad. The salad was a filler, tasted okay, but not what we thought we would be getting. We also tried the lamb meatballs. Three small meatballs covered in a thick sticky, extremely sour fruit sauce that overpowered the whole dish. With the three meatballs, they served a large sized portion of plain unseasoned white rice. Again, the dish was mostly cheap filler. The setting and location was good. If you like to go to restaurants just for the atmosphere I would recommend. We were partially drawn in by the good reviews they have on Google. There are lots of 5 star reviews gushing and raving about the place. We m noticed after, that the majority of these reviews show very professional looking photos of big portions of well presented food (including a big portion of octopus). I have to say this wasn’t our experience at all, maybe we just went at a bad time. Montréal has some really nice middle eastern restaurants and the food here does not compete.
Great service, delicious flavours and good vibes. A variety of options for everyone. Not to be missed if in the Montreal area!
❤️ le sandwich au poulet grillé servi avec un sourire Merci ☕️ Julie
New kid on the block and delicious! Firstly, the service from Ian and the rest of the staff was top notch. Even with our unfortunate Covid, these guys did not miss a beat. Lots of interesting Middle Eastern choices with a mixture of various flavours and textures. For sure lots of options for many different palates. Even the house made hot sauce was a big hit and a great addition for me who always needs a little bit of a kick. Ian said for the four of us six dishes would be sufficient but we ended up with 9+2 desserts. Everything was outstanding. Will we go again? For sure since we only tried maybe half the menu!
