Bartenders were extremely rude. When we arrived we were told everyone HAD to order a drink and then 10 minutes later were kicked out with no explination. We have supported this bar for months and are very diffapointed. Never coming back there again

Very surprised to see the quantity of comments that are not just negative but execrable. I go to Champs every week and always have a great time there. It’s true that sometimes it’s crowded and to play pool you have to wait, but that’s it.
The place is very welcoming and warm, there is plenty of room to sit and everything is very clean. The prices are very affordable and despite the crowds you never have to wait very long for your order.
The servers are very nice when you are nice to them in return.
It's like everywhere, you shouldn't be surprised to get fired from a place if you don't respect the people working there...

The bartenders are so arrogant and just so bad at providing service. One of them poured me a pint instead of a glass and made me feel so bad for it. They assume we are going to tip them but should really be getting 0%. I have truly never seen this and I work in a bar myself. Truly horrible experience, please don’t come to this place, they need to change their staff first. 🤮🤮

I went there for the Tyson vs Paul fight on Nov 15. The place smelled of urine. No table service. No kitchen...nothing like a sports bar. Everything is outdated. The screens are too small and not enough. In short, there is a real lack of investment.

We showed up for a birthday, and kept to ourselves for the most part. My girlfriend asked the bartenders for help when she wasn’t feeling well at one point, not too long after she fell to the floor…all the bartenders cared about was to tell me to “get her the **** out of here”
No concern for whether she was ok, no checking who she was even with… they turned to the first guy (which thankfully was me in this case) and said “get her the **** out of here”
All I can say is avoid this place. They do not care what happens to you on their premises as long as they make money. If you want to stay safe, there are plenty of other fantastic places to hit up and have a good time in mtl.
Been a local for 25 years…

I love champs so much. Every time I go here for queer events I have an amazing time. From markets, to drag shows, queer line dancing to even sports nights this place hosts a variety of events anyone would love! I’m especially a fan/regular for their spurs line dancing nights and the vibes are always on point. The staff is super friendly and this has become my go to bar in the city. (The addition of AC also is such a win for dance nights lol)
Wheelchair accessibility: Only downside is this place is not wheelchair accessible being on the second floor.

I got a beer here and it smelled like chemicals and had bits floating in it.
Thanks to Micheal with his very sweet service we had a great night !
I went to this bar yesterday with 6 other friends. The atmosphere seemed cool until I got closer to the counter. There I am greeted by a very bitter woman to whom I ask if she can give me a price for 7 shots (6 shots being listed at $26). She tells me no so I don't order these shots and walk away to my friends. Just a few moments later, the bouncer approaches me and tells me that I need to leave the bar because I would have been “rude” not to order. I understand that if you are not gay or lesbian, you are not welcome in this bar. Absolutely avoid. Terrible service. Bar Barbossa on the ground floor is much better.

This bar sucks! They use plastic cups and there’s flies in the washroom. Don’t go there
