I had a great time at Cafe Istanbul! The atmosphere is very warm and the staff takes great care. I particularly enjoyed the Pides (Turkish pizzas) which were delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant! I recommend it, a nice experience.

Update in 2024: it was well before, there seems to have been a change. They advertise in 3 places that they have Turkish ice cream, when I go there they smack me in the face and tell me that they have normal ice cream but no cones. The employees are arrogant. I will go elsewhere.
Yum, great discovery. I ordered a medium knefeh and three loaves, I was given an extra 2 other loaves/bagels. It was fresh and delicious, served hot and just cooked. Generous portions and affordable (2022)

We went to pick up food for supper. When the owner found out one of the meals was for our father who was in hospital, he sent us back with cheese and olives, as well as fruit for him. The food was excellent and very filling. Thank you so much for feeding us so well!

I can't review the food. I never got it. Ordered online from Google (Storefront by DoorDash). Paid for it on my card. Walked over for a pickup and the owner refused to give me my food. Insisted I cancel my DoorDash and pay direct. His beef with DoorDash is not my problem.
Service and Atmosphere were terrible. Who knows about the food.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Small restaurant without fuss, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service was offered to us by a charming gentleman, of remarkable kindness, he took great care of us, particularly with our 4 year old. The portions are generous, the grills smelled good of the wood fire, and the meat was fresh, we loved the Turkish bread which is served just cooked, not just reheated! Lots of delicious and fresh side dishes! The ice cream brought back memories of Istanbul. This is our first visit and certainly not the last!
