Food was ok (not to the level of Schwartz though) but it leaves a feeling of a giant rip off for tourists. Prices are not warranted by the quantity or quality of what is served. 15$ for a very basic salad or almost 30$ for a Reuben sandwich is way overpriced. And the draft beers are priced like pints but are really half pints sizes (and of course no mention of serving size on the menu). Tourist and locals … beware!

The food and service are both good but it’s hugely overpriced. I feel like you’re being taken advantage of because the restaurant is in a prime location (aka tourist trap). Way better, more authentic delis in other parts of town.

Had lunch the original smoked meat sandwich and it wasn't as good as I remembered it to be years ago.

Amaaazing food, when my daughter ordered us a mac n cheese to share i thought “id never order mac and cheese in a restaurant!” Boyy was i weong i would 100% order this again of course you can never go wrong with the rubens sandwich my husband got. The only thing I dislike about montreal/servers is they treat our french (first language) like its not good enough for them and they always try to serve us in english!!!

Everything our family of 5 ate was delish. My Rueben sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. Kids menu had great choices for the kids. A must try for sure!

Another great smoked meat sandwich deli in Montreal. We also had wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks. Excellent! Smoked meat was juicy and tender, and we also ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich! Portions were quite large, hot and fresh! Excellent service!

The waiter was extremely rude and inpolite. He was not just mad with me that I did not give him a tip, but he was started to educate me how tipping works in Canada. I am sorry but as an Eastern European I just don’t understand why tipping is necessary in capitalis countries and why tax is not included in the price written in the menu. But the guy’s behavior was just unacceptable. This was my only negative experience in Canada, a country that I visited first time in my life. Avoid this restaurant (1116 St Catherine Ouest)!

We loved our experience at Rueben's. I had the OG grilled cheese and my wife went with the rueben; both were stacked with smoked meats and unbelievably delicious. Even better was the strawberry cheesecake for dessert, which is made in-house.
