I ordered online and let me tell you! The packaging was absolutely gorgeous. The food on another level. Wow, the sashimi was second to none, their makis so perfectly rolled and cut and the fish as fresh as it gets. They have amazing hot food as well. Their wagyu dumplings DELICIOUS! And their crispy taquitos with the salmon tartar... foodgasm!
This is definitely the best delivery sushi I've had so far in Montreal. I will be going to try them in person because the pictures of the place look so beautiful !

this restaurant is amazing! My friends and I have been around 3-5 times in the last 6 months. Perfect for date night and girls night. Last time I went was on a Thursday and there was a DJ, music was fun and the volume was excellent (you could be next to the speaker and still hold a conversation without raising your voice). Waitress was very friendly and provided really good food and cocktail recommendations. If you like slightly sweet “skinny” cocktails go for Kappa, you won’t regret it 😉

I had an exceptional New Year’s Eve experience at Ryu a couple nights ago! This restaurant was recommended by a number of different people and I have to admit, their sushi was hands down the best I've had in Montreal. I wish I took pics! The service was equally outstanding; the staff were so so friendly, and ensured every detail was perfect. Highly recommend Ryu, particularly the Griffintown location one!

I ordered sushi online from RYU Griffintown, and while the food was fresh, the overall experience left me very disappointed. They forgot to include soy sauce with my order. Although they offered a small compensation when I called to inform them, it didn’t really make up for the ruined $200 meal. Additionally, the maki rolls weren’t cut into pieces, which was both unusual and difficult to eat. I later noticed they charge $3 extra for the roll to be cut into six pieces—something I’ve never encountered in all my years of eating sushi.
To make matters worse, the small soup container I ordered was only half full, which felt like poor value for the price. These issues are unacceptable, especially at such a high price point. I’m really disappointed with the customer experience here and won’t be ordering again.

The worst customer service experience. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. Caution. Please read. We ordered for takeout on December 23 at around 13:00(this is important) for a pickup on December 24th at 18:15. This was confirmed by email and text message shortly after placing our order. We went to the restaurant on December 24 at 18:15 to pick up our order as confirmed by the restaurant. The restaurant was CLOSED. Another couple was already waiting at the door to pick up their order and trying to reach by phone to find out what was happening. They were unable to reach anyone. We went home and I left a voicemail at 19:00 to call back explaining the issue. We received BY EMAIL a message confirming a reimbursement within 48-72h. No apologies or explanations. The restaurant received our order on December 23 during opening hours and NEVER ADVISED IS THAT THEY WERE CLOSED ON DECEMBER 24. Customer service sucks and all customers should know.

A deplorable experience. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday, but we were deeply disappointed. The service was terrible: our table was ignored on several occasions, and we clearly felt a discriminatory attitude towards us. While the other tables were well served, we waited interminably, and our basic request was treated with contempt. This evening, which should have been special, was ruined by a blatant lack of professionalism and respect. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting a minimum of courtesy and consideration.

The portions are much too small, the food is excellent and it's well presented, but you come out with a big bill and you feel like you haven't eaten anything... there were three of us and two of us had starters and one main meal, and we had time to finish our meal before our friend received his sushi. Quite ordinary!! The service wasn't amazing...my friend had to ask three times for salt...unfortunately we won't be returning although it was delicious.

I recently visited Ryu with a group of friends, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. We had to repeatedly flag down our server just to place orders, and when we did, they brought the wrong appetizer, serving me meat dumplings despite knowing I’m vegetarian. This completely ruined my night, as I felt nauseous afterward.
While they did offer a drink on the house and removed the incorrect item, they didn’t take full responsibility for the experience, leaving us to still pay for the mushroom dumplings. Overall, the service and attention to detail were not what I’ve come to expect from Ryu, and I left feeling disappointed.
Vegetarian options: But be careful to to make sure they are actually
