I had high hopes based on the reviews. The place was cute but food was so-so. My husband's ragu had an overwhelming tomato paste taste. My rigatoni with mushrooms was bland. The wait staff seemed new and needed a lot of direction. Expect long wait times.
This is a small Italian restaurant with homemade food. I had a much better food experience here than the Italian spot I went to for lunch!
For starter, I shared polpetta, the veal meatballs (2 for CAD$18). The waiter warned us it would take a bit longer to come out. The meatballs had good seasoning, but it was not hot!? We found it weird that if they took so long to make it, why was it cold inside?
For pasta, I had the papardelle con ragu...

We booked this restaurant at the last minute because it had good reviews and availability. If you’re looking for simple Italian food, this place is great. Nothing fancy or pretentious, but pretty decent. The service was quite slow and the kitchen is very small so be prepared to wait a bit.
