My friend and I went to have lunch here for the first time. Even though there were mishaps, the owner fixed it and was so nice aboit it. He came to our table. they had outstanding service. the Yuzu mocktail is excellent and so is the okinominyaki and the pork bone soup that comes with rice. everything was delicious
My friend and I went there for lunch today for the first time. There were mishaps but the owner was kind enough to fix them and came to our table too. It was outstanding service. They have a great variety of korean and japanese dishes and their yuzu mocktail was delicious!

Nice atmosphere but imho not authentic, too sweet and no heat, soup was a let down, also there were no koreans or even asians in the kitchen when we visited back in April.

A little disappointed with the pitchers of water (plastic bottle) and the food in general. The atmosphere in the back of the restaurant is ordinary. Correct, nothing more. 3 1/2

Authentic Korean food.
The food is quite tasty and authentic but it is more on the bar food and tappas. The taste profile is on the sweeter side. I highly recommend the beef tartar!
The waiters were friendly and helpful but the service was a bit slow as they barely came to see us and we had to request them for water.
Atmosphere is more lounge like and louder.

Sam Cha is a solid choice for anyone craving Korean food. The bibimbap is especially good—well-balanced, with fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned.

Despite a problem on our table, the waiters and waitresses were adorable and very kind. Mistakes happen. Thanks again for the gesture! The food is very good! We will come back and I hope everything will be better soon! Stay strong!?

To me this is what is considered an extremely dirty restaurant. I think that some tables and the kitchen are way too close to the bathrooms. I’ll take this moment to focus mainly on the bathrooms: it is extremely dirty in my opinion. This may give you an idea of how bad one might think it is: my mom currently has an urinal infection and she was the only person in the family to have used a bathroom of the restaurant (no other public bathroom was used from another/ different establishment). She is currently in the hospital for medical complications. Her infection basically went to her kidneys and she’s in extreme pain right now. We suspect that the state of the bathrooms of Sam Cha have something (or everything) to do with my mom’s current health issues which is such a shame especially after paying almost 150$ for what felt like an underwhelming culinary experience. I do think the food is average at best and almost every dish we ordered lacked flavour, now I unfortunately believe that the food is even more lacking in the hygiene department!
Edit after owner’s response: I sent a message via email to who seems to be the owner or part of the ownership of Sam Cha a few minutes after they suggested to do so. That was on the 19th of September. Today is the 24th of September and I still haven’t received a response via email. Almost 5 days of silence…
My mom just got out of the hospital with a long list of medications prescribed to her in case you were wondering!
To me it is obvious that this business and the team working there could not care less about their clients and their wellbeing, I really do not recommend to eat here, save yourself and go eat somewhere else!

Pretty disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken bibimbap, the fried chicken and kimchi was very good but the rest of the dish was very bland, the egg yolk was fully cooked and my food was cold. My boyfriend’s fried chicken was good but extremely salty and my sister in law’s tofu was still frozen when she got it. The udon curry plate was delicious though! The staff is also very friendly and restaurant has a nice ambiance!

We came here for a weekend Montreal trip and I was excited to try a good Korean restaurant, and this one had lots of good reviews. IT IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE REVIEWS SAY. Their rosé sauce is unbelievable. It is the best rosé sauce I have tasted in my life. Their bibimbap and fried chicken were also REALLY good—this is the kind of restaurant where you can't decide what to get because you know everything will be equally tasty!!! We even came back a second time the next day and the owner was also super friendly. I genuinely cannot recommend this restaurant enough for the food, and the vibes were great too.

You seriously need to implement a reservation system. I joined the waiting list, was 3rd in line, and still ended up waiting 1 hour before I finally gave up and canceled. It's a complete waste of time. People shouldn’t have to deal with this—just have reservations and stop wasting everyone’s time.
Great food but overpriced
