They were good when you ate them.
But they definitely weren't fresh or even handmade.
These steamed dumblings with pork inside gave me stomach acid.
This happens to me when the products are processed, already cooked or packaged.
I have a feeling they get them from the supermarket across the street and then boil them and present it to you nicely for that.
The meat inside was not that fresh.
They look like packaged ravioli from the supermarket with that unrecognizable meat inside.
Certainly not high/medium quality meat but rather low.
I wouldn't go back given how much they ask for the classic dumblings.
Better to go to the supermarket across the street, buy them and boil them at home ??

This place is really, really good. Cheap prices, good service, and ultimately excellent dumplings. Went here with my boyfriend, and we got two servings of dumplings. The first was the spicy pork steamed dumplings, which were an absolute delight, extremely tasty. We also got the fried dumplings (I believe pork and cabbage). Which were also really good.
Vegetarian options: There are a couple vegetarian options!

Tried pan fried and soup dumplings. Pan fried dumplings were a bit oily and greasy on the outside, but the meat was very juicy on the inside. Soup dumplings were the highlight. Filling is so flavourful that you won’t even need the chili oil and soy sauce. Definitely try the other entrees as well such as cucumber salad and cold peanut noodles. I would visit again.

Sammi's is an INCREDIBLE Dumpling joint in Montreal. I was ready to go back to the train station to return home and I was craving dumplings on a cold summer evening. The service is fast, the staff is friendly and their dumplings are bomb! I would 100% return because there are a lot of items on the menu I have yet to try. Soup dumplings are definitely one of my comfort foods and Sammi did exactly that. Comfort my belly.

We were vacationing in Montreal and it was too cold, windy, and rainy to go out for dinner. So we ordered takeout “Juicy Pork & Coriander Dumplings” from Sammi & Soupe Dumpling. We will never forget how generous and incredibly delicious Sammi’s dumplings were. Truly they were the best of the best!

Quite a long line to enter the restaurant. We had pork dumplings and won-ton soup each, the soup smelled like fish and the pork filling was tiny, we didn't have enough choice of sauce for the dumplings and they had a very strange aftertaste, I felt sick after consuming it. We had extreme headaches after an hour. The service was satisfactory and organized and responded to us quite quickly.

These were very solid soup dumplings (xiao long bao) and I really enjoyed them. I tried the #14 Porc & Coriandre and #15 Poulet & Champignon. Both had very distinct flavors and you could taste the cilantro and mushroom in each of them. Wrapper had a good chewer texture and none of them were broken in the basket, which has happened to me at some cheaper soup dumpling restaurants. Restaurant was small and a little tight, but that was fine.
