I visited Mi Bao Café near the CHUM and ordered a small matcha latte. I found it very expensive at $9, not including tip. For that price, I expected much better quality; the taste was quite ordinary, like what you'd get at any other café. If I'm going to pay $9, I'd honestly prefer Starbucks' matcha. The place is colorful, and the service was good, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it due to the high prices. They serve very ordinary dishes and drinks...
The sandwich I had was delicious, but I was shocked to see it cost $25.66! Am I in London or New York? Please be more transparent with your pricing—it's not clear what we’ll end up paying.
We were staying at Sonder Gare Saint Denis and Mi Bao was on the main floor next door. Grabbed our coffee and sandwiches for our train ride back home. Both the General Tao (limited time item) and the Déjeuner sandwiches were delicious. They also have ice cream and baked treats if you want something sweet. They close early but you can grab sandwiches and go down the street to Square Viger for a picnic lunch. We’ll definitely go back whenever we’re in Montreal.
