Food was delicious, we had foutou sauce graine and foutou sauce arachide with baobab juice. Owners were so kind and truly made us feel at home!

Me and my friends ordered foutou sauce graine and sauce arachide; both were delicious! The stew was so good and the fufu paired well with it. It was our first time eating African food and this restaurant is a great place to start out. We also ordered fish thiepp which was also exquisite!

The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly which matches the comfort brought by the food. The service was also top notch; the waiter (who I assume to be the boss) took time to explain the menu, was super enthusiastic and even gave us a sample of one of their juices to try (which was super flavourful).

Will most definitely come back and their 5⭐️ review is well deserved!

First off the customer service was wonderful. My family and I were welcomed with such hostility and love. The guy who was talking to us was hilarious and making jokes. We were all laughing the whole time. First time I brought my brown parents to an african restaurant and they loved it. Starting from walking in, to ordering the food and eating it. The guy explained what each dish was thoroughly so we can try a little bit of everything on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. I don’t remember everything we got however I know we definitely tried the jolof and the foutou. Which were both so delicious. Best believe all of our plates were wiped cleann. We left that restaurant with our stomach full and and our hearts full!!

We had the Jalaf and the Foutou, both of which were absolutely incredible and better than the same dishes when I had them in Ghana whilst staying with a local family.

The server was super friendly and informative, and even gave us small samples of their homemade drinks and juices to help us figure out what we wanted to drink

Very friendly, absolutely delicious, and we will be making this a standard stop for all future Montreal trips after today's meal!

I see why the ratings are so high! Saveurs d’Afrique lived up to the expectations. My friend and I were visiting Montreal for a day trip. We wanted Senegalese food. While the owner, Abdul, is not Senegalese, he had entrees from a few west African countries such as Cameroon, Senegal, and Cote d’ivoire and also his home country Guinea. My friend and I got the same dish, thiep poisson (Thieboudienne) alongside plantain. It was sooo delicious. We also sampled the baobab and bissap. The bissap was slightly different than the sorrel were used to but wonderful all the same. The baobab juice was a nice treat that I saved for the end as more as a “dessert .” Abdul and his family were very welcoming. The place will prosper MashAllah

We tried Saveurs d’Afrique last night and it was delicious! We ordered aloco, foutou banane avec sauce graine, foutou banane avec sauce arachide, atiéké poisson. They were all delicious. I definitely recommend trying both the foutou and atiéké.
The service was great, the owners were so sweet. The restaurant and the food felt very homey. You will also experience the joy of eating with your hands! I’m really happy to have discovered this restaurant it’s really a hidden gem!

I had the 1/2 chicken with fries. The fries and onions were good. The chicken was quite tasty too but only on the surface. The inside had no taste and was a bit dry.

I came here on my birthday and the owner was so hospitable– we chatted for a bit, he made me feel very comfortable (as it was my first time trying authentic african food), and he even gave me a free side of the peanut stew! it came with a mouthwateringly spicy sauce that went very well with the foutou et sauce graine, as well as the chicken and rice. We also got the hibiscus drink, which was so refreshing and just sweet enough.

The foutou was deliciously soft and tender, and had a really nice hint of sweetness that complimented the savory sauce graine so nicely.

The rice was perfectly cooked and the chicken was savory, hearty, tender and well seasoned with a nice crispy skin.

All the dishes were so rich and comforting, the meat was fall off the bone tender and we all left SO full we could barely walk😂 Next time I'm in Montreal this is the first place i'm going to for dinner!
