If you tip, tip in cash. The owner steals any tips from the workers that are made by card, and uses them to "pay for his renovations" in the cafe. If he tells you otherwise, he's lying. Honestly, you should just go somewhere else that serves actually decent coffee and has good service and nice decor, rather than pay the same, if not more, as nicer cafes.
Lack of warmth and love. Atmosphere needs fine-tuning. Each time I visit I come to the same observation. Superb neighborhood though

The service and the lattes are very good. Just three stars because the choice of food is a little limited, two muffins, 3 cookies... Also lacking a little color in the room and it's a shame they don't install a terrace on the pedestrianized street.

August 21, 2022, I am back at the Second Cup Mont-Royal..... there has been an improvement. The coffee was still good and this time the second one was fresh. However, please have your windows cleaned, especially the windows of the door and those of the entrance banisters. It's your business card and right now it's not very inviting. @ Soon!
