Went in with a mixed group of five after a business dinner - the interior bouncers were cool. It was a Tuesday night, and was not busy at all.
Always a classic for their happy hour which includes 2 for 1 drinks and a free snack buffet. There is always a good atmosphere. Beautiful terrace in the summer. It's a bit of an older crowd, which is nice. They have live music sometimes.
Nice place. The drinks are very affordable and not as expansive than regular bars. They have special promos on certain days. I recommend to go there for a first date, or a friendly gathering.
Terrible experience. Went in with a small group for dinner, the very polite front of house seated us immediately but we were consistently ignored by the waitress for almost 30 minutes. The hostess who seated us even pulled our waitress aside and told her that we were still waiting to order. When we politely tried to flag down our waitress after waiting she very rudely replied “I’m too busy working right now.” Got up and left immediately. Too bad, because the live music was excellent.
Normal disko here. If ti compare with some other more expansive club it is the same music . A lot of students and not o ly here. Reasonable prise and good atmosphere. I like this place
Excellent pub in Montreal. Drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly.
A good around bar and restaurant- different sections so you can find what you’re looking for
Liked it. Great place for party or just hang out with friends.
Place is known for happy hour which they do a great job with. Food was okay, would pick somewhere else next time to eat. Server wasn't helpful, attentive or professional.
The lighting in this place isnt good. The food was okay. Our server was NOT very helpful and was really rude. When asked what the meal of the day was, she said it's on the board behind you and turned and walked away. The menu was in french and we clearly dont speak or read french. She could of at least explained the menu. Horrible service by far. If your a tourist and dont speak french I would err with the side of caution.
Good ambiance and a nice spot. Not too expensive. The only downside is the music and constant ringing style. I mean when you notice that no one is dancing and the place is full. You need to do somethin about that.
After trying a couple of places, this was my go to place for a Tuesday night. 2 of the three levels was open on this particular night. The downstairs was where the Tuesday night party/club was at. Had to pay a $7 cover, good size crowd (not too pack but good number of people) and the drink special was $2.50 well mixed drinks (your very kind and yes I loaded up on a lot of them). Now the second level, which is more the restaurant level was pretty dead. However they have a way better beer selection then downstairs and they even have slot machines on this floor. Overall if your in Montreal on a Tuesday night, I would say this is the place to be.
Be very careful with this bar. I am a local guide and I can assure you that this bar is highly dangerous atmosphere. Most of the days it’s empty. NEVER ever open a tab, a few barmaids are clever at putting additional charges and you will have to pay. Moreover people will spot you paying for your drinks and follow you outside. I have spoken to the bouncers about a robbery and whether I could use their help to no use. Be extremely careful if you must but be ready for the rude employees. Hope the owner or management fire the bad employees of this place before it shuts down.
Nice spot in a busy neighborhood. Made a drink wrong, would be five stars otherwise.
The tutti frutti sangria and their poutine were amazing! This place also had live music which was pretty cool too.
Dinner at the bar on September 14, 2019, I had a CESAR salad, this one was infective the green salad leaves were completely gone. There were four stale bread croutons. Restaurant to avoid the waitress at the bar was very nice
So my parents met here 40 years ago. And now I meet my dad and my sister here for happy hour sometimes.
Went on a Tuesday, as they have certain drinks for $2.50. This included singles if a spirit and a mixer. I think beers were $4. It gets very busy later on. The music is techno, with a massive bass, especially if you go onto the dance floor. The only issue was some of the people were very aggressive, my friend got her hair pulled and punched, whilst another got followed back to the hotel. So the bar does attract a lovely crowd, probably due to the cheap drinks
Fantastic and flavorful food, I liked the character this spot has, and the cashiers were welcoming. good place to catch up with friends. service is consistently above par. the bill was decent.
Staff was very friendly and the patio was excellent. Most of us ordered bears and soft drinks so can't really comment on food and drink quality.
Descent place, great staff. Outside is great with a nice view of crescent street.
Service was good, food was below average. I would not eat here again but perhaps for drinks it would be ok... Clean bathrooms and kind staff.
Menu does not have a good selection. The Moscow mule is probably one of the worse I had. The beef poutine was also disappointing. Service was not great. Was very disappointed considering I was looking forward to our visit here.
fun place to be anf friendly
Great cool place to chill with friends. Good music. Excellent service. The hostess were very pleasant.
Sir Winnie's is a must see stop on your trip to Montreal. In the summer grab a seat on the upper or lower patios. In the winter stay inside and enjoy both the sophisticated upstairs bar or wait until the sun goes down and hit the dance floor downstairs. Great service, cool atmosphere and fantastic drinks!
Great music and crowd. Friendly atmosphere. Must visit if you are into the Montreal night life.
I came here with two of my friends during the happy hour deal. We sat on the terrace. Some drinks were 2 for 1, which was great. We shared the cauliflower poppers, calamari and fish cakes. All were good, but the calamari were overfried. Also, our waiter was great. I would look for another place in that area next time because I found it quite pricey for the simple food we had.
A very cute and cozy atmosphere to hang out for drinks. There was complimentary basket of popcorn. The cider was excellent. Only issue was that the pub closed quite early - by 10pm.
If the food wasn't so good I'd give no stars. Service is horrendous. No, not horrendous; that would imply there actually was service to speak of. I would go more often but I just can't take the dreadful service. The food is very good, but, well...you have been warned.
Outstanding party or evening complex. Never seen such a large place. Food and drink at a reasonable price... Fell in Love with the spot !
I had lunch there a few days ago. It was hot so the possibility to sit at the terrace was certainly a plus! Good food, fantastic atmosphere, great view! It was a good choice!!ðŸ‘
Nice place with nice sunny terrace in the afternoon. Drinks are so so and food as well. Enjoy watching the people walking on Crescent street. And the cars ...
Good place. Patios are wonderful in warm weather. Maintains pub vibe in prime location. Been here for years.
Very convenient place to go for a cold beer or Sangria. Short walk from the Montreal Museum of fine arts..
Happy hour till 8 pm on weekdays. Nice place! The terrace was the best part.
A staple in Montreal pub and bar scene. The ambiance is great. I always have a great time here.
