Phenomenal Korean food
Amazing Korean food with extra large portions and very reasonable prices. Can't ask for anything more
i came there with my family to enjoy lunch. The foods were so so but the service was so bad. Korean and white skin customers were greeted with smiles and warm attitude, while we - colored skin persons and non-korean - were treated completely differently: rude, very rude as if we were beggars.
The foods came after many customers finished their soups, even if we entered the restaurant and ordered before them.
When we came to counter for payment, the boy asked for tip. Tips for what? I refused and his attitude was something that should not exist in customer service sector.
Conclusion: rude, do not respect customers.
DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE NON-KOREAN ASIAN
Sopoong should be in your list if you want to try Korean restaurants in Montreal.
The size of each meal was worth the price and they were delicious.
We took the shrimp fried rice and the bibimbap but I’ll definitely come back during the week for the lunch plates to try.
Prices are much higher than other Korean restaurants in Montreal. Adding protein to your dish is always extra (e.g., seafood to pajeon/pancake and meat to soft tofu stew/soondubu). Taste good but still expensive for what you get. Service was efficient and staff was kind. Lots of seating

The flight time from Montreal to Seoul Korea is about 17 hours and 25 minutes, so instead of flying to Korea my wife and I decided to take a leisurely 15 minute walk to the Sopoong Korean Restaurant located on Queen Mary Road. Just for your information Sopoong means PICNIC in Korean and we definitely had a great indoor picnic at our table. We ordered 2 Korean BBQ specialties from the menu which included a tasty Miso Soup, a healthy garden salad, sticky rice, and we shared a Chicken Teriyaki Plate as well as a Bulgogi (marinated beef) Plate, both piled high with vegetables and served on a hot metal platter. Our dinner was extremely delicious and the portions were very generous so that we had enough food to take home with us for another meal. Best of all we didn’t have to board a jet for another 17 hours and 25 minute flight back to Montreal, and after a pleasant 15 minute walk we were home again.
Went for lunch. fast and patient service.

Great spot for korean food
Nice waiter, food is nice, highly recommend their iced coffee(its not sweet but it has a nice flavour). We were a group of around 10, at the end of the meal waiter gave us some Yakult(mini yogurt drink). Prices are okay, but Portions are very nice, for the fried chicken , I recommend sharing it, because its really a lot. I had a beef soup, it was very warm and flavourful.
Vegetarian options: Lots of food without meat, or can take off meat.
Dietary restrictions: Not too many pork meals, and not eveything is made with gluten, so thats good for celliac . I cannot guarantee everything is made with rice flour but a lot of things are made with rice flour instead of wheat which is a plus for cross contamination.
