Delicious! As a NY area resident I will say the bagel was different but still incredible. Coffee was good too!

Best bagel I have tried so far , 38 cad for 2 bagels and 2 drinks is not cheap but worth it

Epic place, the bagels are just perfect. I recommend the Bagel Matin and Bagel Sesame with Strawberry cream 👌🏼

Great place for a quick bite, especially if you’re looking for the famous Montréal-style bagel. Also, if you want a bagel sando, this is the place. You can keep it simple with butter or cream cheese or be a little decadent with one of their bagel sandwiches. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is cute, cozy, and clean.

Be advised that the two St. Viateur Street locations do not offer the sandwiches. Also, no credit cards: cash or debit only (not sure if international debit is accepted) here.

Came by after having smoked meat sandwiches. We tried the everything, sea salt and blueberry bagels. All freshly made! Very standard montreal bagels! Lots of goi g onhere at the restaurant between dine in, and take out. Overall, not sure if I would return again as I'm not a super fan of bagels in general tbh! Lol! But I still would recommend this place to anyone who loves montreal style bagels!

THIS IS A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT (Canadian OR US cash) They also take Canadian Debit cards (?) - there is some sort of debit card system but not for foreign cards.

Secondly - if you want bagel sandwiches this is the only location that does it. The original St. Viateur bagel location on Rue St. Viateur DOES not do sandwiches.

Overall, I thought the bagel was okay - we were told to ask to order whatever was the freshest bagel, for us that was the sesame. It was cool to see them hand rolling the bagels.

The bagels are not warm for the sandwiches. I thought the traditional bagel sandwich (smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers) was alright - honestly felt like the bagel was missing flavoring (likely salt).

The line outside wasn't too long, maybe took about 20 minutes to get inside and sit and eat. Not terrible. There are two lines outside, the one to the right (when facing the door) is for takeout bagels ONLY (no sandwiches) the one on the left is for sandwiches and sitting in the restaurant (can also do takeout, but you still need to stand on the line to the left).

Last note, if you are HUNGRY these bagels are quite light. You can definitely eat more than one if you want to be full.

There is a reason this place is legendary- the bagels are in a different league. It was a busy Saturday morning, so we did have a few minute wait out front to get a sit down table, but the staff were friendly, didn't make us feel rushed, and the 'classic' bagel delivered. This place should be on your 'must try' list if you are visiting Montreal.

One of the most popular bagels in Montreal as they are made fresh throughout the day. The bagels were crispy and had a slight sweet taste to it which is unique to Montreal style bagels. They also offer sandwiches using their freshly made bagel in house.

Ordering was very fast if ordering bagels to go, however was debit/cash only. Definitely a recommended visit for tourists to try out one of the popular Montreal style bagel places in the city.

If you search for a bagel place where you can sit down, and enjoy your favorite combination of toppings, St Viateur Bagel is a place you should check out! Bagels come fresh out of the oven, service is friendly, and from the tables you can observe the magic happen in the „kitchen“. The bagel was really great, and the perfect start into the day. Prices are a bit higher compared to just picking up the bagels, but they are made with love (you can tell), and bagels come with two pieces of lemon - which is awesome really!
Please be aware: cash payment in Canadian and US dollar, however card payment only in Canadian debit. Luckily I had some US dollars with me.

I took a taxi for 20 minutes to come here. Only to know that they don’t take credit card! Mad!
