Sumo Ramen Reviews

Sumo Ramen offers excellent, perfectly seasoned vegetarian ramen and a variety of tasty options, including onigiri and vegan salmon. The cozy, clean environment in Chinatown, with outstanding service, makes for a fantastic dining experience. The friendly and courteous staff ensures a pleasant visit, though parking can be challenging. With 83 choices on the menu, all dishes are perfectly executed and appetizing, with generous portions at very reasonable prices. The ambiance, inspired by Japan and anime, delights guests. Sumo Ramen offers two veggie broth options—kombu and miso—and while their ramen noodles aren’t vegan, they serve rice and udon noodles. The casual spot rarely has a wait, and the service remains good and friendly. Customers praise the fast service, affordability, and delicious food, especially highlighting the miso ramen and grilled chicken ramen. The staff are described as exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere akin to dining at someone's home. Many find the quality so good that they plan to return to try other dishes, including onigiri and vegan options. Although parking can be difficult and wheelchair access limited due to a steep second-floor location, the overall experience keeps customers coming back because of the great food and friendly service.
