Stopped by here on a cold Thursday evening in late March for some takeout. Ordered 2 dishes (sesame chicken & orange beef) from Mrs. Ma. Waited in the foyer and she was quite gracious & lovely chatting with me the entire time I waited for my food (about 10mins). I restaurant looks to be warm & cozy and would love to dine in here sometime. I believe they've been here for many, many years, which I love that history. When I brought my food home, it was still warm & delicious. Very authentic, flavorful Szechuan cuisine. I HIGHLY recommend!
The real deal.
Great service, great people and amazing food!
Really good Chinese food. Awesome service. Family atmosphere.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friend and I walked in, excited to have dinner, only to be met with one of the rudest, most unprofessional owners I’ve ever encountered. We ordered dumplings, noodles, and two soups—almost $100 worth of food—but apparently, that wasn’t “enough” for her. Instead of serving us like any normal restaurant would, she refused to take our order, making it clear that she didn’t want us there just because we were young.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had the audacity to lecture us about how a business works, like she was doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence. Newsflash: if your restaurant is completely empty during dinner hours, maybe the problem isn’t the customers—it’s you.
It’s laughable that someone this unprofessional thinks they know anything about running a business. The fact that she’s turning away paying customers while her restaurant sits completely dead just proves that she’s clueless. Honestly, we dodged a bullet—if this is how she treats people, I can only imagine what’s going on in the kitchen. Avoid this place at all costs.
Do yourself a favor and get the pepper chicken with spinach and a won ton soup—it’s a 100/10. This place has the best food. The best hospitality. The best ambience. You won’t regret it!
This is an intimate family owned and operated upscale traditional Szechuan restaurant in downtown Montreal. Ms. Ma provided delightful service and the food was exquisite in quality and taste. It was a unanimous favorite for our family and we cannot wait to return next time we are in Montreal. Reservation required.
Really nice quality food. The beef was amazing as well as the drinks. Definitely recommended

The Madame is very nice and helpful, but the food is a bit too salty, and it takes a looong time to serve the food. Besides, it’s not real Sichuan flavor (which is featured by spicy and numb taste and freshness), but westernized (adding sugar) average Chinese food.
But in total it’s a nice restaurant.

Didn’t get a chance to take more photos as we devoured it right away. The fried squid was amazing. The mongolian beef is a must try as well. Service was top notch! This place is a must try when you are in Montreal!

Im gobsmacked by these negative reviews! We have been to this restaurant 3 times. Each time we were greeted by the hostess with warmth and welcome. The service was impeccable and each dish was perfection. Each server was polished and polite. Perhaps these negative reviews are simply an indication of people’s sorry state of mind. I’d like to think so!
This fabulous little jewel gets a thumbs up! ?

The food here was definitely worth the pricier Chinese food options. The ambiance is much more upscale than a regular Chinese restaurant. And the food was very tasty!
