We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We chose to dine in because we saw that soups were available — I had just had my wisdom teeth removed and could only eat soft foods and broths. (I was in Montreal for work, so staying home wasn’t an option.)
I ordered a Wonton Soup, while my mom ordered a full meal. Our waiter seemed quite displeased with this and told us that next time we would have to leave, as his boss would not allow it. Even after I explained that I wanted to eat but was limited by my situation, he remained unaccommodating.
Later during our meal, another staff member came over to ask if I wanted a side plate to share or to order more food. I explained my situation again, and then yet another employee approached with the same concern before saying, “Okay, no problem.” We felt repeatedly bothered about this issue, which made the experience uncomfortable.
Given how unpleasant the service was, we chose not to leave a tip. The waiter appeared upset about this despite our explanation that the service had been disappointing from the start.

Here in Montreal for a conference at the Palais des Congres. Found this gem close by. High quality ingredients cooked in authentic Chinese style. Great service and serene atmosphere, which I appreciated after a long day. Staff were wonderful!

Meals were awesome-huge portions, tasted and looked like it was made fresh from scratch- was really tasty. Felt really authentic. Nice touch at the end of meal with fortune cookies. We ate spring rolls and prawn dumplings, fried rice, lemon chicken was delicious and beef with snow peas - the gentleman who was serving us was really nice and looked after us.

If I could give them 5 stars just for their water service, I would. My glass was never less than half full (and I drink a lot of water). On top of that, everything we ordered was spectacular. We got the general tso's chicken (duh), snow peas & mushrooms, and Shanghai style noodles. I couldn't pick a favorite dish!

Safe to say, I will be back.

Firstly, the owners and staff were so nice and friendly from the instant we went in. Just observing, it seemed every group of customers were treated like friends (maybe they even were, who knows) but it was really sweet to see!

The food was very quickly served after we ordered, and it was fantastic

The best quality food, service and atmosphere you’ll find in a Chinese restaurant in Montreal. With the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and seating, there isn’t one bad table in the restaurant. Mr Ma and his team go above and beyond for their patrons. We ordered the dumplings with peanut sauce but I forgot to take a picture before devouring them up. I also recommend the general Tao chicken and fried rice.

Stopped by here on a cold Thursday evening in late March for some takeout. Ordered 2 dishes (sesame chicken & orange beef) from Mrs. Ma. Waited in the foyer and she was quite gracious & lovely chatting with me the entire time I waited for my food (about 10mins). I restaurant looks to be warm & cozy and would love to dine in here sometime. I believe they've been here for many, many years, which I love that history. When I brought my food home, it was still warm & delicious. Very authentic, flavorful Szechuan cuisine. I HIGHLY recommend!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friend and I walked in, excited to have dinner, only to be met with one of the rudest, most unprofessional owners I’ve ever encountered. We ordered dumplings, noodles, and two soups—almost $100 worth of food—but apparently, that wasn’t “enough” for her. Instead of serving us like any normal restaurant would, she refused to take our order, making it clear that she didn’t want us there just because we were young.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had the audacity to lecture us about how a business works, like she was doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence. Newsflash: if your restaurant is completely empty during dinner hours, maybe the problem isn’t the customers—it’s you.

It’s laughable that someone this unprofessional thinks they know anything about running a business. The fact that she’s turning away paying customers while her restaurant sits completely dead just proves that she’s clueless. Honestly, we dodged a bullet—if this is how she treats people, I can only imagine what’s going on in the kitchen. Avoid this place at all costs.
