Terrible place ..
service is not good and waitresses are rude . One was slamming the dishes on table .No good customer service skills and very dry !We felt very rushed too to order or to leave etc …
And the sushi was tasteless , no flavor ! The dishes as well were terrible .. even the starters such as spring roll was super cold .
I won’t go back ever again as à customer that been there few times in past. Not worth the money.

One of the best AYCA sushi places in Montreal. I have been coming here for years and it’s still one of my favs!

Great food great service (especially if you come earlier — 5 o’clock is recommended). I loved my experience. Everyone was ready to serve and they did a great job. They were very proactive and once again you can’t go wrong with the white fish and the salmon. The only downside/strange note is that they play Reggaeton at a sushi place and the edamame could use an upgrade, but overall I think it’s definitely worth a visit and definitely worth what you’re paying for!

This place is seriously awful. The staff are extremely rude. The worst part is they only let you order 20 pieces of Sashimi for an entire table of 8 people. They stop bringing it to you despite constantly asking where it is and claiming to be an all you can eat. We would submit new orders with sashimi and the guy would just give us rude stares. This place is awful and I highly recommend anybody considering Takumi to re-consider and go to Kaedo sushi instead.

Pretty good but nothing special.

If you love sushi, Takumi Sushi sets the standard in Montreal. The quality here is simply outstanding. The fish is incredibly fresh, the sushi is prepared with care and precision, the BBQ options are perfectly marinated and cooked, and even the fried dishes are top-notch — crisp, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

You can truly taste the expertise and dedication in every bite. For me, Takumi Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Montreal, no question about it.

A very nice all-you-can-eat Japanese sushi restaurant. The staff is friendly and available, they keep their eyes on your table for a quick and easy support. The price is really great for the quality of the food, which it was also great.

It’s fine. Not the best sushi and not the worst. All the rolls tasted good no complaint on that, they were a bit cheap in the fillings tho. Porc dumpling were also food but the chicken one tasted bad. Pad Thai doesn’t taste like it should and the meat skewers were dry and pretty hard to chew. I would definitely go back but would carefully choose what I eat ! Nice ambiance, servers were fast and friendly!

Most all-you-can-eat sushi in Montreal is a trap of bad rice and questionable fish. I'd given up on it.
This place is an exception.
The quality was great for an all you can eat. The sashimi was bright, firm, and fresh. The rice was perfectly seasoned, letting the high-grade fish shine.
Best of all, the service was incredible—warm, attentive, and efficient. Orders arrived quickly and accurately. Even the gyoza and tempura were delicious.
Takumi Sushi proves AYCE doesn't have to mean bad quality. I'll be back eventually.

Party of 2 and we were seated on folding chairs...which I have at home... in a corner of the restaurant by the food counter. Not impressed with that. It was packed and loud on a saturday night and was difficult to have a conversation. I appreciated though that we were asked about allergies. Food wise, selection and presentation were nice, I really enjoyed the fried zucchinis but found the sushi rolls to be too big. It's unpleasant to have to chew such big pieces. Was it good? I've had better. On the plus side, they had soft serve ice cream for dessert which I had yet to see at an all you can eat. Where they lost my respect is when the bowl came with a wooden spoon stuck in the ice cream. Uh, is this costco or subway or something? If I'm paying 40$ for my meal, at least give me a real spoon. And to be reminded that I have 2 hours to eat...yes I understand you need the table and yes the service was quick and yes it's like that at other places too but being told I have to pay soon because my time is up is bad etiquette. I don't like to be rushed when I'm eating out. In all, there are better AYCE places in town and I will not be returning to Takumi nor will I recommend it. In all honesty, after having tried a few of these places, I think I'm just through with this concept. Yep, you did that.

The food was good and the servers were nice. My only complaint is the ordering system. We were a big group and we had to order on one paper. When the food came, we weren't told what food was being placed on the table and no one could remember what they ordered since we all had to order together. It's a confusing system that I don't think works with large groups.
