The worst chinese food I ever had.
Chicken fried rice without chicken
Peanut chicken without peanuts
Tasteless general tao taste
For 70$ +

I have ordered soup and egg rolls from your restaurant for years. We ordered last night soup and egg rolls and the soup was tasteless and the egg rolls were equally as bad. I called to complain about your food and The owner didn’t seem to care. So I have to write this review and air my complaints. You have lost a long time client.

This has been a neighbourhood favourite for many years. It doesn’t disappoint. The food is delicious, freshly made and served promptly by Kane (he’s so polite and dedicated to providing great and attentive customer service)!!!

We get delivery about every two weeks . On Friday we ordered Shanghai noodles, eggrolls, chop suey won ton soup And crispy spinach. We chose chicken for the noodles. There was exactly one piece of chicken in the noodle dish. Surely the chef must have been asleep. We ordered chicken noodles!
I agree, the plum sauce tastes very weak. Used to be much richer. Soup wontons blah

A really good Chinese restaurant located in the heart of Ndg , every dish is packed with flavour. My go to would be the curry chow mein and the crispy beef

ALL 3 OF US GOT SICK several hours after eating at the restaurant!! Last night we arrived at the restaurant at 7PM. We were the only people in the restaurant (1 other person arrived later to eat solo). I have been a regular customer at the original Yangtze restaurant. Even though they may use the name, this is nothing like the original. We ordered egg rolls, won ton soup, chicken fried rice and garlic spare ribs. Soup was fine. Egg rolls were cold and plum sauce has changed to something you find out of a jar you can buy at a supermarket. I asked for hot mustard and was charged extra for it. Spareribs were odd color and extremely fatty and over cooked or have been sitting many days in the sauce. Chicken fried rice was stale, dry and tasteless. Chicken pieces were dry and off tasting. We left most of the rice and ribs. The waiter packed up the leftovers and we left.
BUT THE MAJOR CONCERN was about 4 hours later all 3 of us had severe stomach cramping and experienced vomiting. We all live in separate homes and it was only the next day that when we spoke to each other did we realize we all had the SAME GASTRIC DISTRESS (poisoning?). What the heck, in today’s world what kind of restaurant can get away with this complete disregard to food safety and quality? The waiter/manager was kind and helpful during service. I am sure he did not know what was coming out of the kitchen however there was a very tall large man (chef?) who would often appear in the dining room looking around. His black clothes were not clean and were heavily stained. I should have realized something was off. I normally order just the egg rolls and pick them up. I will not do that anymore.
I hope this review helps those who may be immunocompromised or are susceptible to complications of food poisoning take heed.
There are many fine Chinese restaurants in the city. I for one will not risk my health again at this one. Shameful. Good thing I did not eat the doggy bag (not fit for) leftovers the next day. I never write bad reviews of a restaurant, I just don’t go back. In this case I feel I must alert others to what I experienced.

We were 2 sharing a combo meal of Wonton soup, spring rolls, chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, deep fried breaded chicken strips. We enjoyed the meal very much and were impressed with the very good service.

My go to Chinese place in NDG for the last 10 years. Never disappoints. Everything is great.

Small portions. Just adequate service. Quite poor quality food. Chinese food is way better. Look elsewhere.
