The staff were amazing! Rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, and quiet at night.Great location, walking distance to a lot of shop, activities, and museums.Safety: It was great to have our car parked by the valley, in a secure area. We felt very safe leaving it in their hands.Noteworthy details: The welcome mocktail was great while we checked in. The concierge was a very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The wine in the room, with the handwritten note was a sweet touch.

I stay in a lot of hotels and the staffs are usually the deal breakers. This staff is amazing. The hotel is awesome, unique and good on its own but the staff here is beyond perfect. Felt like I was back at the Ritz Carlton. I have no idea what they are paid but they deserve a raise. This hotel is a great location and the decor is perfect

My fiance and I had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend to enjoy a babymoon together. It was a really pleasant stay, all together. A generously spacious room offering a view of old Montreal's picturesque architecture, which we found the city to be rich of. They even sent us a treat of desserts shortly after our arrival upon congratulating us on expecting. The entire staff works hard, and it shows that they are also proud. The restaurant Méchant Beuf served an incredibly delicious smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Highly recommended this establishment and highly recommend enjoying the breakfast just down the hall.Noteworthy details: An amazing location for all the walking distance intrigue, be it local art galleries, a foodie experience, or even the pub fare.

Great stay at the Nelligan! All the staff are great from the front desk to the housekeeping team. There are 2 individuals in the front of the house that are extraordinary. They both made our stay one of the most memorable in Montreal. Staying at the Nelligan is one of the best decisions you could make when sorting out your trip to Montreal .It’s one the cosiest boutique hotels we have ever visited. Look forward to seeing the results of the renos.Allan & CarmelRooms: Cozy, well appointed, quite comfortable and that old brick and stone !!Walkability: Close to the beauty and history in Old Montreal . Not to mention restaurants close by that I can call nothing but divine .Food & drinks: ExcellentNoteworthy details: Old World Charm

Best hotel I have ever stay at! Personally I have traveled all over the world and can say this has been my favorite place thus far. From rooms, to staff, to service, everything is five stars. Would 10/10 recommend.Rooms: Rooms are more beautiful in person than the amazing photos they have online.Nearby activities: They provide a great list of everything you could possibly want to do over a short stay in Montreal. Every recommendation was fantastic.Walkability: Located right in old Montreal, this place has the best location in town.

Hôtel Nelligan was the BEST customer service I have ever received at a hotel. Small details from the front of house staff especially Christoper who ensured we had everything we needed for our one night stay. The valet team was efficient and very respectful. From what I overheard at the front desk, they treat all their customers with the utmost care and truly made our experience at the hotel memorable.Bonsoir!Walkability: Old port is greatNoteworthy details: Top tier customer service

We've stayed at Hotel Nelligan many times and it never disappoints. Rooms are very well appointed, front desk staff is very helpful and so is the valet service. I'd say the only negative comment I can make is that the service is rather slow at the restaurant (everytime time we've been in the past 15 years) but otherwise we love this hotel.

Located in a wonderful part of Montreal, I found Hotel Nelligan to be a quiet and modest hotel, perhaps not quite up to its 4 Star label. Upon check in, the concierge offered us a larger room for $120, which we declined. In hindsight, it was a poor move on their part because we were located on a floor with heavy construction on all the nearby rooms. It was quite noisy, in the evening and very early in the morning, and overall it detracted from our stay there. Knowing this, the concierge should’ve arranged another room anyways (if one was available). The valets were extremely friendly and were the best part of our stay there.

Sadly, a disappointmentI had booked an evening at Nelligan to cap off our vacation with a relaxing night before our final trek home the next day. As one reviewer had mentioned the sounds of the horse hooves on cobblestone made for a romantic sound- to which I agreed!Unfortunately, idiot me didn't realize the implications of that statement. You see, they have poor sound insulation. You can hear most conversations from the street and certainly the sloppy revelry of the local bars as they clear out. Thus we spent the (Monday!) night being woken up by drunk shrieking women stumbling out of the nearby establishments with the final capstone being a delivery or trash truck notifying us of its impending reversal sometime around 4am.This on top of several service faux pas-• Being handed mock tails with napkins on top of the glass with our arms visibly loaded with luggage, then left to juggle all of the above (no room walkthrough)• "We need to leave early tomorrow, is it possible to put in a breakfast order to be delivered to our room?" [Paraphrasing] "No but you can order it yourself at 7 when they open" "...."• "Where is the services menu?" "On the QR code in your room." "There is no QR code in our room" "oh it's on the website then" "....."• "you know you have terrible noise problems, we woke up to screaming women outside the hotel all night" "oh. So sorry." <Goes back to typing>My friends, where are 2 of the 4 stars hiding in this establishment? To their credit, it is indeed a lovely building with spacious rooms in a beautiful section of Montreal, and it would seem the wine bar across the street is a grand time, but a 4 star establishment this is not.
