The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Vieux Montreal

This Keg always goes above and beyond with service. We are never without drinks or updates about our food. We travel and dine at a lot of Kegs and by far this one ranks No.1. I am allergic to blue cheese and this is the ONLY Keg we dine at that a manager comes to speak to me about it and reassure me the kitchen has been notified and is taking due diligence to ensure I am safe. When in Montreal this is our ‘go too' for the superior service and food. Many thanks! See you again soon!

Exceptional service. Friendly host, prompt service and food arrived swiftly. Waiter asked about allergies and when he was told one of us had an allergy to shellfish, the manager came to us to find out more and reassure us that extra care would be taken in the preparation process. This put us at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our experience.

We had made reservation for 7:30, but the show we attended at Basilica Notre Dame (Aura - highly recommend) ended earlier than expected. Restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately our server (Laureanne) was excellent, personable, efficient, helpful and apologetic when wine my wife wanted was out of stock. Despite handling several other tables, she spent time explaining and offering suggestions for alternatives to wine selection. She added a lot to our enjoyment of the meal - which was excellent, Prime Rib for me, Sirloin for my wife. Other than somewhat cool baked potato everything was well prepared and quite good. We ended the meal by sharing a dessert - Billy Moner Pie. It was large enough for 2 more people to share and decadent. While not cheap by any means, we felt we got great value and would not hesitate to visit again.

Always love the keg they are great love this location. Usually for bdays they give you your free cake but twice we went they did not give it for my bfs bday in March and mine in April. Still love them and will be back

Très belle soirée, ambiance chaleureuse,tamisé comme j'aime et que dire de ma salade ceasar préféré et le steak était cuit à la perfection,c'était sur la coche,bien hâte d'y retourner !!!!!!!

It's a good steakhouse to spend an evening with friends or as a couple.
Restaurant Bar and screens to watch sports matches and have a good cocktail.
The warm welcome from the hosts and the atmosphere of the reto bar invite you to come and spend a pleasant evening.
The service is good and quite fast,
The cocktails are excellent
The gratinated snail starter was good,
The onion soups.........We were disappointed....the waitress confirmed to us that there was wine in their onion soups..... ...to tell the truth we tasted a soup which only tasted of beef stock which was too pronounced which was unpleasant.????? But on the other hand the filet Mignon.....excellent on the mark???? ....a real delight, the ribs were also excellent. ??......and the cocktails.....the Keg Maitai as well as the Keg Antnori Tosc.?????

I wanted to take the time to leave a very positive note following the experience of my recent visit to Keg in Old Montreal.
I came with a friend a few days ago and we were first greeted very warmly by Jacob at the entrance to take our reservation. Charming, courteous, friendly and professional young man.
Once seated at the table we were lucky to be served by Samantha who gave us 5 star service. Samantha was patient, charming, with touches of humor, courteous and very professional. She really left a very good impression on me! If you are lucky enough to come across her, you will be in very good hands!
Food-wise, it’s a very good steak house. You will make the right choice by going to this restaurant.
To do again, definitely!

My recent experience at Vieux Port-Steakhouse was exceptional from start to finish. For appetizers, we enjoyed the calamari and the poutine—both perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The standout dish was my entrée: bacon-wrapped filet mignon served with creamy mashed potatoes. Every bite was a dream; the filet was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, while the bacon added a wonderful smoky touch.

Our waitress was simply outstanding, attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. This place truly knows how to combine atmosphere, incredible food, and top-tier service. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
