Taste of Shanghai is a disaster The waitress didn’t understand that we wanted chicken without bones and brought us chicken with bones. Her supervisor, or manager, then brought us back the same chicken with the bones removed, but this time it wasn’t hot. When we complained, some other replacement came back which was barely even warm. Then, when I went to pay, even the bill I was given was wrong, with the amount on the invoice not matching that on the register, to my disadvantage, of course. This was a complete disappointment from beginning to end, and we won’t be going back.

The couple owner here are authentic native Shanghai’s and we enjoyed lovely home style dishes and cuisine! Friendly and warm atmosphere.

Very authentic homemade Shanghai food

Very authentic Shanghai food, loved the fish there. The restaurant is run by a nice couple. We visited without calling and the choice of dishes are quite limited (still very quick and taste good), so make sure to call ahead.

It is a shady kitchen that I saw. The food is okay. It tastes like the food that my uncle made. But I expected much more from a restaurant. The price is very expensive and the portion of each dish is so little. Overall, I am disappointed.
