Ordered a chai latte and it was pretty good...not the best I've had...could've been spicier, but it was good. The place seems popular for working and has a great aesthetic!

Tommy Café is a beautiful spot with a stylish two-floor interior that’s definitely worth seeing. However, it gets extremely crowded and personally, I didn’t enjoy the coffee. Still, it’s a nice place to visit at least once for the atmosphere.

While visiting Montreal, I made a point of stopping by this café after bookmarking it on Google. The cute decor and positive reviews had already caught my attention. Parking was difficult to find, so we ended up walking quite a bit after leaving the car. I loved the café’s corner location, which gave it a charming vibe, especially with the staircase leading up to it. The layout was unique, with multiple levels and scattered seating, although it was tricky to find space for our group of four and we eventually split into pairs. We tried several items. The iced matcha latte with vanilla wasn’t the strongest I’ve had, but the flavor was still enjoyable. The lavender latte was a pleasant surprise, carrying the lavender notes beautifully without being overpoweringly floral. The matcha cookie quickly became a favorite. It was so good that we went back to grab the last one. While I wished for a slightly stronger matcha flavor, the texture was perfect and the sweetness level just right. It just really hit the spot. The Avococo was another delicious pick, with well-balanced flavors. The grilled cheese was tasty but small and a bit plain (they could use more cheese and maybe even a variety of types), while the tomato soup served alongside was creamy, herb-forward, and flavorful, though also quite small for the price. Overall, everything we tried tasted great, the service was friendly, and the café itself is beautifully decorated and unique. That said, the price point is a bit higher than I’m used to, especially considering the portion sizes.

it’s an aesthetic cafe that looks welcoming and clean and good for photos. however, that was probably the worst matcha i’ve ever had in my life. it had a powder texture and tasted like grass. the chai latte tasted like straight turmeric. the food looked tasty but its $18 for a grilled cheese … and by the quality of their drinks im not sure anything would be worth it. the baked goods looked alright.

I really enjoyed the multi-level seating arrangement beside the large windows. The interiors are beautifully integrated, with the modern furniture complementing the old skeleton of the building really well. I enjoyed their iced matcha

Not a lot of places use their vertical space well. Most of them just have the two separate floors with a stairway just to get between them but I really like what Tommys did. They have half way spaces on the way up to the second floor that looks out at everyhing. Opening up the second story and having that inbetween space really makes the place feel like there is not a bad spot throughout.

The pastries looked great but we ended up just going with some cold brew which had a nice chocolatly note. It was a little bit busy but we were able to get our drink and seats almost imediatly so it ended up not being too bad.

Overall a great place for coffee.

Tommy Cafe is solid. They have approximately 10 locations, offering wonderful coffee and baked goods at a reasonable price-point. My wife and I stopped in here for a quick breakfast before we departed the wonderful city of Montreal.

We had a Chocolate Croissant and a Sesame Bagel with regular cream cheese. The croissant was delicious. The bagel was among the best I've ever had. Montreal bagels are different from New York bagels (and in my humble opinion better).

If you are looking for tasty baked goods in a relaxed friendly atmosphere go to Tommy Cafe.

Stepping into this café felt like a pause button in the middle of a busy city day. The natural light, the ceramic-patterned plates, and the casual elegance of the setup created the ideal backdrop for what became a delightful breakfast experience.

Trying Cuban coffee (Café Cubano) for the first time was a standout moment—bold, beautifully layered, with a rich crema and subtly sweet finish. It was love at first sip! The texture and intensity were unlike any other espresso-style coffee I’ve had.

🥐 The croissant was flakey and buttery, and paired perfectly with the robust coffee.
🥯 The bagel was fresh, and the ham & mozzarella croissant sandwich was savory and satisfying, especially with the fresh side salad.
🌸 The macarons added a sweet, dainty touch to end the meal on a light note.

We went there for brunch, Very bad service, on of the waitresses has attitude, and she took the empty plate oh the table without asking when the plate was under my wife’s hand. 🤔
There is another waitress with curly blonde hair, she was so polite and nice with the guests.
The breakfast croissant has nice decoration however, came with egg on top with too much salt on it.
They have omelette in the menu but they didn’t have it available for brunch.
The French toast was normal.
The latte was good.
Their bakery 🧁 was good.
It’s not recommend for the breakfast or brunch, you don’t have options to choose.

I went there on the day that my friend Tommy died for a year to memorize him. We could have come to this Cafe together if I agreed with him to come from DC back in 2023 summer. But well, I went visit for him. I don't drink coffee in the afternoon so I ordered a pastry, very tasty and sweet that makes me need to keep half for next time.
The staff was a bit unhappy for some reason, I don't want to take it personally. Pour me water right from the sink that I don't like to drink sink water since it's very hard.
It's a great place to work or talk about work here. And super nice to decorate, I love the mini floors in the cafe. Everywhere is full of chargers if you need power.
One thing I don't like is the wifi has some limited website that you can't access which is sooooo absurd. Maybe it's the company they use.

Their breakfast croissant sandwich is amongst the best I've ever had, anywhere in the world. The egg sunny side up, cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of avocado, prosciutto, cheese and sauce, it is was the best way to start the day before visiting Cathedral Notre-Dame, just next door.

The ambiance is dynamic, and the local exquisitely decorated with antiques. Well lit, the place makes good use of being on a corner with big windows all around.
