I judge a Tommy Cafe by how well they prepare the Lox (avocado toast with salmon, and I add an egg). Based on that metric, this one exceeds. Super flavorful: they don’t skimp on avocado, onions, capers, or seasonings. Bread held when picked up. Non-Lox: staff is very friendly, and service time was reasonable. Space has good amount of seating though not as charismatically designed as other Tommy’s (no where near the Old MTL OG). Knocking down a star because they don’t do cold brew or iced coffee, which is slightly homophobic (sorry, I don’t make the rules).
