do not recommend. got there before 11 and kitchen was closed. place was empty - no vibes. drinks were $25+ each. said they were open u tik 3am but when we walked in they sad no only 1am

The reception was great, very charismatic and warming. The ambiance was cozy and enjoyable, The only remark is that the principle meal which was filet mignon should had been served warmer. The meat was cold as if the plate was on the shelve for a bit until it became cold. overall very good experience

I made reservations for a table at 9:30, they sat us at the bar and said if we want to wait for a table we can leave and wait outside again (its winter and dead cold). Thru don't respect the reservations and they mess up the food orders.

Le fait qu'un parking souterrain soit situé à côté du restaurant est un plus, car les places de stationnement sont difficiles à trouver.

If you're coming strictly for cocktails, music, and a lively atmosphere, this is a great spot. I would not recommend it for dinner or anything beyond a few appetizers. We had an 8:30 PM reservation, arrived at 8:38 PM, and still weren't seated until 9:15 PM while we stood in a line outside. Once seated, we ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrées together. The appetizers actually came out before the drinks, but the appetizers and cocktails were very good. The vibe and ambiance were nice, though the lack of ventilation made the mix of perfumes in the room pretty overwhelming. Dinner was disappointing. Entrées took almost an hour to arrive. The steak was extremely overcooked and essentially inedible, the scallops were ice cold as if they had just come out of the fridge, and only the cod was prepared well. Overall: Come for drinks and music, maybe share a few appetizers, especially the sushi- but plan to have dinner elsewhere.

Amazing experience. Very professional staff, excellent food, and the place itself is unreal — truly stunning. It doesn't look like anything else in Montreal; it almost feels like you're inside a volcano. Everything was spotless. I went on a Thursday and the vibes were great. Perfect spot for a date or for a fun night with friends.

We had an amazing experience at Mona Loa...it's such a quaint and fun space. Everything exceeded my expectations from the ambiance to the service, and the food/drinks. Bri, the bartender, is excellent at her craft...I highly recommend you try one of her signature cocktails!! Whether to live in Montreal or are visiting, don't miss out on this place! It's worth the visit.
