We went on a Tuesday night this week and the waitress was kind enough to seat us at their vip seating. Drinks were strong and service was honestly great, I found the food below average only because the tacos were SOOO cold! We’ll definitely come back again for drinks, the overall vibe (lighting and everything) was cozy

The food here is shockingly good- way better than expected for a pub. The roasted Brussels spouts are insane! Also, the steak sandwich, salmon tartar, and cali wrap. The staff is also super nice. It’s always a fun experience at Typhoon.

I lived in the area between 2012 and 2018, and back then the food was much better. Since my return, I’ve been very disappointed. I went there twice on different days, ordered the chicken wings, and both times they arrived in less than two minutes, clearly just heated in the microwave. They were cold and tasteless. I even asked for them spicy, but they came with no spice at all. When I politely reminded the waitress, she went to the kitchen and came back saying I would have to pay an extra $2 to get them spicy. I really miss the days when Bob was the manager. To top it off, I even had digestive issues after eating. Very disappointing compared to before.

We went to this restaurant tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant. The waitress greeted us very rudely, saying that if we had a child, we couldn’t sit inside — even though we had already planned to sit outside. Her tone was unprofessional and unfriendly.
The food was shockingly bad. The calamari was undercooked and had a strong, unpleasant oily taste, clearly made using overused oil. When our main dishes arrived, we were even more shocked — the French fries were burnt and tasted awful, and the burger had a strange and unpleasant smell. We complained about the fries, and while they brought us a new portion, it was still terrible — extremely greasy and hard to eat. The only difference was that this batch wasn’t burnt.
The food was so bad, and the overall experience was so disappointing, that we immediately canceled the birthday cake we had ordered. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible. We wasted our money and time, and most importantly, my husband's birthday was completely ruined.
We will never return to this place, and we don’t recommend it to anyone.

I would describe typhoon lounge as the real deal. The food is amazing and it’s not only your average pub menu!! The outdoor terrace is lovely in good weather and the inside has plenty of seating. The very best part about typhoon is the service. Our server was named Charlotte and she was the highlight of our night! Charlotte was so kind, accommodating and professional that I will struggle to not compare other service elsewhere to her! Definitely check out this bar for a good time and friendly atmosphere.

Charming, unique, and a feat of Montreal culture, but what really sells it. Drumroll please… the service. Folks, you won’t get better service than Charlotte! An absolutely lovely girl who will serve you up quickly and efficiently with a smile and a charming sense of humor. If you have any time to spare in Montreal, you should come to Typhoon Lounge and see Charlotte!
