On Saturday May 17th, we have had the pleasure of visiting VIA Restaurant in Montreal North! The owner, Mimmo, was our waiter and he was the best waiter we have ever had! Such a nice individual and always treats us loyal! We will definitely be back! I had the Tortellini Rose & Salad! :) Definitely delish and to die for! As an airline pilot who has traveled the globe and dined in some of the most renowned culinary capitals, I can confidently say that VIA Restaurant in Montreal is an absolute gem—easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world.
From the moment I stepped in, VIA delivered authenticity, charm, and an unmistakable sense of care in everything they do. This isn’t just Italian food—it’s Italian soul on a plate. Every dish I tried was unbelievable: fresh, vibrant, and masterfully prepared. The ingredients spoke for themselves—bright tomatoes, fragrant basil, handmade pasta, perfectly balanced sauces. This is the kind of cooking that takes you straight to the heart of Italy, yet it's right here in Montreal.
The service was warm, attentive, and passionate about the craft. It's rare to find a place where both the front and back of house work in such harmony to create an unforgettable experience.
Frankly, VIA deserves serious recognition—a Michelin Star would not be out of place here.
